Open Access Policy

Basic Principle

Düzce University Faculty of Forestry Journal of Forestry (DÜOD) has adopted the principle of full open access to promote the global and unrestricted sharing of knowledge. All content published in the journal is freely accessible to everyone from the moment of publication. This approach reflects our journal’s fundamental belief that scientific communication is a public responsibility.

License and Terms of Use

Our journal uses the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0) to make its content available for use. This license encourages the sharing and adaptation of published works with attribution, while restricting commercial use.

Under this license, users have the following rights:

Share: You may copy and share the work in any medium or format.
Adapt: You may remix, transform, and build upon the work.
These rights are subject to the following conditions:
Attribution: You must attribute the original work and this journal appropriately, provide a license link, and indicate if changes were made. Fulfilling these conditions does not imply that the licensor approves of you or your use of the work.
Non-Commercial: You may not use this material for commercial purposes.

Publisher Commitment

At DÜOD, we believe that an effective open access model is possible through a system centered on user rights, copyright ownership, and transparent licensing. By adopting the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, we aim to guarantee free public access to research outputs while also protecting authors’ intellectual rights and encouraging the dissemination of information for non-commercial purposes.

Global Commitment

As a sign of its commitment to open access principles, DÜOD endorses the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) declaration, considered one of the fundamental texts in this field. This initiative supports the vision of free online access to scientific research and reinforces our journal’s support for this universal goal.
