Abstract

Dünyada gündelik kullanımda en yüksek talep gören denim kumaşlarda
kullanım esnasında gerilme kuvvetinin etkisi altında esneme meydana
gelmektedir. Bu gerilme kuvveti neticesinde kumaşta kalıcı deformasyon meydana
gelmektedir. Bu kalıcı deformasyon zaman içerisinde kumaş potlanmaya sebep
olarak kumaşın kullanım ömrünü olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu çalışma
kapsamında, özde yüksek elastikiyete sahip polyetilen terephthalat/polytrimetil
terephthalat (PET/PTT) bikomponent filament+spandex, PET/PTT bikomponent
filament ve spandex kullanılarak tek ve çift özlü iplikler üretilmiştir. Elde

The Effect of Yarn Type and Layout on Uni-Axial Stretch Properties of Woven Denim Fabric

Year 2019, Volume: 6 Issue: 3, 789 - 798, 30.09.2019

Abstract

Stretching occurs
under the influence of tensile force during use in denim fabrics, which is the
highest demand in daily use in the world. As a result of this tensile force,
residual deformation of the fabric occurs. This residual deformation causes
fabric growth over time, adversely affecting the service life of the fabric. In
this study, single and double (dual) core spun yarns were produced by using
high elasticity polyethylene terephthalate/polytrimethylene terephthalate (PET/PTT)
bicomponent filament + Spandex, PET/PTT bicomponent filament and Spandex. A
total of 18 types of denim fabric in different weft yarn layout were produced
by using uncovered PET/PTT bicomponent filament with the yarns obtained. Uni-axial
elasticity and residual deformation properties of denim fabrics (after 2 hours
of waiting) were determined. Test results were evaluated statistically by using
variance analysis at 95% confidence interval by means of SPSS package program.
As a result, it was determined that the weft yarn type and the layout of weft
yarns in the fabric had a statistically significant effect on elasticity and residual
deformation property of fabric.
