The effect of emotional intelligence on individual innovative behavior: A research on Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University students

Abstract

This research was designed to identify the factors that effect innovation. In this context, this research was conducted via questionnaires which based on the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Individual Innovativeness. The area of the study is Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. 402 students were reached in this study. In data analysis, SPSS 20 package program was used. Descriptive statistics, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis was used for examined the data. As a result from analysis, there were detected significant differences between undergraduate departments based on individual innovativeness points. Besides, was detected positive and strong relationship between the variables via the correlation analyze. Finally, as a result of the regression analyze, it was determined that the explanation rate of individual innovativeness with emotional intelligence is 25%.

Duygusal zekanın bireysel yenilikçi davranışa etkisi: Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi öğrencileri üzerinde bir araştırma

Abstract

Araştırma yenilikçi olmayı etkileyen faktörlerin tespit edilebilmesi amacıyla oluşturulmuştur. Bu kapsamda anket yoluyla Bireysel Yenilikçilik ve Duygusal Zeka ilişkisine dayalı bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi, İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Anket aracılığıyla 402 öğrenciye ulaşılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 20 paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin sıklık değerlerine bakılmış, t-testi ve ANOVA testi ile birlikte değişkenler için korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre lisans bölümleri arasında bireysel yenilikçilik puan türleri açısından anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca korelasyon analizi sonucunda değişkenlerin pozitif ve güçlü bir ilişki içerisinde oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Regresyon analizi sonucunda ise duygusal zekanın bireysel yenilikçiliği açıklama oranının yüzde 25 olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
