Sağlık Hizmeti Sağlayıcıları Hasta Aktivasyon Ölçeğinin Türkçe'ye Uyarlanması

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, sağlık hizmeti sağlayıcılarının hasta aktivasyonuna yönelik 21 üzere geliştirilen bir ölçeği Türkçeye uyarlamaktır. Bu kapsamda, Shand ve arkadaşları (2019) tarafından geliştirilen Sağlık Hizmeti Sağlayıcılarının Hasta Aktivasyon Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, Ankara’da aktif olarak görev yapan ve kronik hastalık yönetiminde hasta aktivasyonuna katkı sunan 206 hekimin gönüllü katılımıyla yürütülmüştür. Katılımcılar basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiş, veriler yüz yüze anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, ölçeğin iki faktörlü yapısını (hasta merkezli ve çalışan merkezli) doğrulamış ve yapı geçerliliğini desteklemiştir. İç tutarlılık katsayıları yüksek düzeyde güvenilirlik göstermiştir (α > 0.90). Ölçeğin hasta merkezli (HM) 20 madde ve çalışan merkezli (CM) 20 madde olmak üzere toplamda 40 maddeden oluştuğu görülmüştür. Ölçek, orijinal yapısıyla büyük ölçüde örtüşmektedir. Elde edilen bulgular, ölçeğin Türkiye bağlamında geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğunu göstermektedir. Aynı zamanda çalışma Türkiye’deki sağlık literatüründeki önemli bir boşluğu doldurarak sağlık çalışanlarının hasta aktivasyonuna yönelik tutumlarını değerlendirmede önemli bir katkı sunmaktadır.

Adaptation of the Health Care Providers Patient Activation Scale to Turkish

Abstract

The aim of this study is to adapt a scale developed to assess healthcare providers’ behaviors regarding patient activation into Turkish. For this purpose, the Patient Activation Measure for Healthcare Providers, originally developed by Shand et al. (2019), was used. The study was conducted with the participation of 206 physicians actively practicing in Ankara, who play a direct role in patient activation within chronic disease management. Participants were selected through simple random sampling, and data were collected via face-to-face surveys. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the two-factor structure of the scale (patient-centered and clinician-centered) and confirmed its construct validity. Internal consistency coefficients indicated high reliability (α > 0.90). It was show that the scale consisted of a total of 40 items, including patient-centred, 20 items and employee-centred 20 items. The 40-item scale showed strong consistency with the original version. . The findings show that the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool in the Turkish context. At the same time, the study fills an important gap in the health literature in Turkey and makes an important contribution in evaluating the attitudes of health professionals towards patient activation.
