Knowledge and Truth

Abstract

Murat Baç argues that the tripartite definition of knowledge faces an important but neglected difficulty. For Baç, if justification does not entail truth, then how could we determine whether the truth condition is satisfied at all? In this paper I will try to show that Baç’s argument is mistaken

Öz

Murat Baç, bilginin üçlü çözümlemesinde bulunan doğruluk koşulunun çok kritik bir probleme yol açtığını savlar: Gerekçelendirme koşulunun sağlanması doğruluk koşulunun sağlanmasını gerektirmiyorsa, bu son koşulun sağlandığının belirlenmesi olanaklı mıdır? Baç’a göre, özne S’nin önerme ö’yü bildiğini iddia ettiği bir durumda, doğruluk koşulunun sağlandığını S’nin ö hakkındaki gerekçesinin haricinde belirlemenin bir yolu yoktur. Bu makalede, Baç’ın düşündüğünün aksine, ünlü üçlü çözümlemenin böyle bir problemle karşı karşıya olmadığı gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır
