Abstract

Spinoza felsefesinde insan ruhu, beden ile zorunlu birlik içerisindedir.
İnsanın ruhu, bedeni ile birlikte yaşamak zorundadır. Spinoza, insan ruh ve
bedeninin zorunluluk içerisinde paralel çalıştığını söyler. Ruh ve beden ilişkisi,
karşıtlık ya da çatışma değil uyum içerisinde olmaktır. Bu uyumun nedeni,
beden ve ruhun Tanrı’nın iki eşit parçası olarak kabul edilmesidir. Bu
kabulden dolayı ruh ve beden arasındaki denge bozulmaz. Ancak insan ruhu,
bedenin etkilenimlerine maruzdur. Bedenin etkilenimlerinin neden olduğu
tutkular karşısında edilgin değil etkin olmak insan ruhunun gücüdür. Spinoza
ruhun gücünün insanı, bilge ve özgür yaptığını söyler. Bu da ruhun içinde
olduğu zorunluluğu bilmesi, doğasına yani aklına uygun davranmasıdır.

The Power of Soul That is Necessarily Together With Body in the Philosophy of Spinoza

Abstract

Human soul, in the philosophy of Spinoza, is necessarily together with
body. The soul and body of human must live together. Spinoza remarks that
soul and body of human function parallel to each other compulsorily.
Relationship between soul and body necessiates harmony not contradiction or
conflict. The reason for that harmony is that body and soul are accepted as
two equal part of god. Because of that acceptance the balance between soul
and body is maintained. However, human soul is exposed to affection of body.
The power of human soul is being active not passive against to passions
caused by affections of body. Spinoza remarks that the power of soul makes
human wise free. As a result, soul acts in accordance with its nature in other
words its reason by knowing the necessities it is in.
