HEIDEGGER’İN TEKNİĞE YÖNELİK DÜŞÜNCESİNDE ONTİK-ONTOLOJİK AYRIMI: TEKNİĞİN TEKNİK-OLMAYAN ÖZÜ

Abstract

“Tekniğe Yönelik Soru”, Heidegger’in iki temel soruya yanıt vermek için yazdığı bir yapıt olarak görülebilir: Birinci olarak, Heidegger en geniş anlamıyla “tekniğin özü nedir?” sorusunu sorarak, modern-öncesi (geleneksel) ve modern tekniğin paylaştığı ortak özü ortaya koymayı amaçlarken, ikinci olarak “modern tekniğin özünün geleneksel tekniğinkinden farklı olarak ne olduğu” sorusunu da gündeme getirir. Bu makalenin amacı, bu iki sorudan ilkine odaklanarak Heidegger’in Varlık ve Zaman’a ait “ontik” ve “ontolojik” kategorileri arasındaki ayrımını geç dönemine ait olan “Tekniğe Yönelik Soru”da açık biçimde kullanmasa bile, tekniği bir araç olarak tanımlayan antropolojik tanıma bu metninde getirdiği itirazın, ancak bu erken dönemine ait temel ayrım ışığında yorumlandığında açık ve somut biçimde kavranabileceğini göstermektir. Makalenin ortaya koyduğu gibi, “ontik-ontolojik” ayrımı, (1) Heidegger’in “tekniğin antropolojik tanımı”nı neden “yerinde” (richtig) olarak nitelediği halde “doğru” (wahr) bulmadığının tam anlamıyla aydınlığa kavuşturulması ve (2) bu ayrımın onun itirazında, Heidegger’in erken ve geç dönemini birleştirecek şekilde, ne denli merkezi bir felsefi işleve sahip olduğunun açıkça ortaya konması açısından kilit rol oynamaktadır.

The Ontical-Ontological Distinction in Heidegger's Thought on Technology: The non-technological Essence of Technology

Abstract

“The Question Concerning Technology” can be seen to be written by Heidegger in order to answer two basic questions: First, Heidegger aims to show what the unitary essence of pre-modern (traditional) and modern technology is by asking the question “what is the essence of technology?” in the most general sense. Second, he also brings up another question specifically concerning the essence of modern technology as opposed to the essence of traditional technology. The aim of this paper is to focus on the first question and show that even though the distinction between the categories of “the ontical” and “the ontological” formulated already in Being and Time is not employed by Heidegger in his work of his later philosophy after “Kehre” (turning), “The Question Concerning Technology”, his objection to the anthropological definition of technology can be understood more clearly and concretely only if it is interpreted in the light of this basic distinction from his earlier phase of thought. As the paper shows, the “ontical-ontological” distinction plays a crucial role in clarifiying (1) the reason why Heidegger characterizes the anthropological definition as “correct” although he rejects to call it “true” as well as (2) what kind of a philosophical function the distinction between correctness and truth has in his objection. The demonstration of the role of the ontical-ontological distinction in the essay on technology also points to a unity of the early and later periods of Heidegger’s philosophy.
