The Journal of Security Sciences is a national peer-reviewed journal published twice a year in May and November, and its publication principles are based on the principles of independent, unbiased and double-blind refereeing.
The Editorial Board requires that the articles published in the Journal of Security Sciences meet the highest ethical and scientific standards and do not carry commercial concerns.
The opinions, arguments, theses and thoughts in the articles are the personal views of the authors and in no way express the views of the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy or the Institute of Security Sciences. Our journal is ‘open access’ and access to the full texts of the published works is free of charge, and the language of writing is Turkish and English.
Since 2012, the Journal of Security Sciences, which has gained the status of an international refereed journal, is currently scanned in EBSCO Publishing - Academic Complete Search, Akademia Social Sciences Index (ASOS), Social Sciences Citation Index (SOBIAD) and ULAKBIM TR Index and DOI numbers are obtained for the articles. In addition, studies are ongoing for the journal to be scanned within the scope of Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
The studies to be submitted must not have been published anywhere in Turkey or abroad before. However, papers presented at scientific meetings (congresses, symposiums, seminars, etc.) and whose full text has not been published are accepted provided that the place and date of presentation are specified. The Journal of Security Sciences is a peer-reviewed international journal published twice a year. Articles, original works and articles that have not been published before or have not entered any publication process are accepted to the Journal of Security Sciences. The articles submitted to the journal are published after the evaluation of the Referee Board.
