The study of reliability and validity of The Economy Self - Efficacy Scale for the Social Studies Teachers, consisting of 23 items, was realized and the reliability value of the scale was found to be .74.The data achieved from Teacher The Economy Self - Efficacy Scale for the Social Studies Teachers was analysed with SPSS 21.0. According to the results of the research, it was found out that the levels of self – efficacy of the social studies teachers in teaching economy subjects were lower, and that gender, level of education and job duration didn’t show any differences in the self – efficacy belief. However, it was seen that the teachers having graduated from the faculties of education, those teaching subjects with field trips and those having a habit of reading newspaper or magazines had higher levels of self - efficacy. According to the results of the research, several suggestions were made to increase the self – efficacy beliefs of the social studies teachers.

Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenlerinin Ekonomi Konularını Öğretmede Öz-Yeterlik İnançları

Year 2015, Volume: 2015 Issue: 4, 28 - 43, 30.04.2015
