Abstract

İnsanların, başka bir ülkeye gönüllü veya zorunlu hareketi olan göç, fiziksel olarak yer değiştirmenin yanı sıra psikolojik, sosyo-ekonomik, kültürel ve siyasi boyutları ile toplum yapısını etkileyen bir olgudur. Göç -ister kölelik yoluyla, ister savaştan ya da felaketten kaçarak; ister ekonomik ihtiyaçlarla tetiklenmiş olsun- birçok insanın yaşamında ve geçmişinde önemli bir rol oynamış ve dolayısıyla çağdaş sanatta da geniş çapta araştırılan bir konu olmuştur. Çağdaş sanat, “onlar” ve “biz” arasındaki bölücü siyasi sınırları sağlamlaştırmadan; göçmen deneyimini evrenselleştirmek için bir ayna görevi görerek birleştirici, bütünleştirici ve kaynaştırıcı bir rol üstlenmiştir. Bu araştırmada, çok disiplinli bir çalışma alanı olan göç olgusunun; 21.yy sanatı bağlamında incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Doküman incelemesine dayanan ve nitel bir çalışma olan bu araştırmanın, kuramsal boyutta alana katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Araştırma sonucunda, alternatif yaklaşımların geniş yer kapladığı eserlerde, göç olgusu, farklı temalar kapsamında ele alınmış; seslerini duyurmak isteyen sanatçılar, sanatın evrensel dili aracılığıyla bu küresel soruna ortak bir çözüm arayışına girmişlerdir.

MIGRATION AESTHETIC IN 21ST. CENTURY ART

Abstract

Migration, which is the voluntary or compulsory movement of people to another country, is a phenomenon that affects the social structure with its psychological, socio-economic, cultural and political dimensions as well as physical displacement. Immigration—whether through slavery or fleeing war or disaster; Whether triggered by economic needs, it has played an important role in the lives and pasts of many people and has therefore been a widely researched topic in contemporary art. Contemporary art without reinforcing the divisive political boundaries between “them” and “us”; It has assumed a unifying, integrating and cohesive role by serving as a mirror to universalize the immigrant experience. In this research, the phenomenon of migration, which is a multidisciplinary field of study; It is aimed to examine in the context of 21st century art. It is thought that this research, which is a qualitative study based on document analysis, will contribute to the field in the theoretical dimension. As a result of the research, in the works in which alternative approaches occupied a large area, the phenomenon of migration was handled within the scope of different themes; Artists who want to make their voices heard have sought a common solution to this global problem through the universal language of art.
