Bilgin Güngör examines the existence of social media in Turkish literature and analyzes its reflections on various works in her work titled Social Media in Turkish Literature, From Virtual to Aesthetics. Today, social media networks are spreading rapidly and are becoming a part of life day by day. In this respect, virtual applications such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Tiktok can shape people’s perspectives according to social media. In such a case, it is unthinkable that social media should not be reflected in literature, namely poetry, novels and stories. Therefore, it has been important to examine and investigate how new developments connect with literature. In this work, Güngör listed the relationship between social media and literature under various headings and touched upon important points related to the subject. In the work, the determinations such as the use of social media as a medium of communication, trace, fake, show, phenomenon, appearing in different appearances and developing the virtual communication technique have been important. In addition, giving examples from many novels and stories on the subject made the study rich.
