The novel is a genre from the authors who do not define it, since a clear definition cannot be made. At the same time, it has not been clarified as to come out of the first planning and from which work is accepted. These people are both smug with the art of the novel and the theorist, because with this novel, the novel is about being a big plant that is constantly/changing, that is, its freshness is constantly spreading to all times. By the ingenuity of this young man, the kind of aspirant becomes great. Because other narratives will weaken after it becomes clear in its definition and when it will first emerge.
In this article, it will be discussed what need the novel genre emerged to meet, then whether it preserved its original purpose, how it became popular over time due to which needs of human societies it met, and the nature it has gained today. In addition, in this article, "Did the Philosophy of Lepanto Sea War (1571) and Descartes's (1596-1650) influence the birth of the novel? Did the French Revolution (1789) affect the birth of the novel, or did the novel pave the way for the French Revolution? Likewise, did the Industrial Revolution (18th century) pave the way for the birth of the novel or did the novel be effective in the realization of the Industrial Revolution? Does the novel contribute to the formation of nation states? What is the level of this contribution? What is the role of the novel in the realization of the ideal of globalization, which capitalism has set as its target in world politics, or in achieving a great deal of success? What effect did cinema have on the novel? The answers to these questions will be sought within the framework of Mihail Bahtin's concepts of carnival, dialogue and chronotope.
With all these discussions and the questions to be answered, what this seminar study wants to say is that the novel lost and changed its original purpose over time, and that it was largely under the control of capital such as philosophy and science, and even the success of cinema and TV series through mass media, the novel showed through printing. Today, the novel has largely fallen from the eyes of the capitalists, since it is far above the success it has achieved.
