Abstract

This study is an analytical investigation of simultaneous heat and mass transfer for plane stagnation flow where a gas helium or hydrogen is injected from the wall into a flowing external stream. Same type of problem was treated before for flow over a flat plate. The effects of variable physical properties and the mechanism of forced convection, diffusion and thermodynamic coupling on heat and mass transfer have been considered for plane stagnation flow. The free stream is taken to be air or a mixture of air and the injected specie. The studies are focused on the effect which free stream concentration ofthe injected specie has upon the role of thermodynamic coupling; over a wide range of TwiTe

Abstract

Bu cahsma, duvar diizlemine dik iki boyutlu akis icin dis serbest akim icerisine duvardan gaz puskurtuldugilnde aym anda meydana ge1en lSI ve kutle aktarmu probleminin analitik olarak ince1enmesidir. Daha once ayru problemin analitik c;:ozlunlemesi plaka sistemi icin yapilrrustir. Burada ele alman sistemde olusan simr tabakasmda, degisen fiziksel ozeliklerin ve itimli konveksiyon, difuzyon, termodinamik kenetlenme gibi mekanizmalarm aym anda olan lSI ve kirtle aktarirm iizerindeki etkileri goz onune almmisnr. Serbest akim, hava veya hava ve puskurtulen gaz helyum, hidrojen gibi kansirrndir. Cahsmamn amaci serbest akimda puskurtulen gazm derisimi degi~tiginde termodinamik kenetlenmc uzerinde yaratacagi etkinin genis T" ITe arahgmda saptanmasidir.
