Academic, content and language responsibility of the articles published in our journal exclusively belong to the authors.

The journal aims to publish academic articles making original contribution to the area of "social sciences" such as political sciences, international relations, economics, business administratin, international trade, international logistics, security studies, public administration and local governments and other related areas on humanity studies. The journal publishes theoretical and/or empirical studies as well as applied articles within the frame of scientific ethical principles.
The journal publishes articles of academicians as well as researchers.

Articles should be written in MS Word using Calibri font, 11pt size, single-spaced, and justified (Abstracts should be 10pt with single-spacing, and the first line of paragraphs should have 0 indentation). The page setup should be A4; with 2.5 cm margins on the right, left, top, and bottom. (These settings are adjusted in the "Page Layout" - "Margins" section). Paragraph indents should be 1.25 cm, and the spacing between paragraphs should be 0 pt before and 6 pt after. Headings should have 12pt spacing before and 6pt spacing after. No blank lines should be inserted between paragraphs. (These settings are adjusted in the "Paragraph Settings" - "Indents and Spacing" section in MS Word).
Article Structure
The general structure of the article should be as follows: title, abstract, and keywords in the language the article is written in; title, abstract, and keywords in the second language (English if the article is in Turkish, Turkish if the article is in English); full text, footnotes, references, and -if any- appendices.
Title, Abstract, and Keywords
The Turkish and English titles of the article should be in Calibri font, 11pt size, all capital letters, and bold. "Abstract" and "Keywords” should be in Calibri font, 10pt size, and italicized. Abstracts should be between 150-250 words. The abstract section should briefly state the purpose and scope of the study, its original aspects and contribution to the field, its methodology and main highlights, evaluations, and recommendations. There should be a minimum of four and a maximum of six keywords. Commas should be used between keywords, the first letter of each keyword should be capitalized, and keywords should not be numbered.

Blind Peer Review Policy
In accordance with the blind peer review policy, the article file uploaded to the DergiPark system and submitted to reviewers for evaluation must not contain any expressions related to the author's identity. Therefore, the first page of the article file uploaded to the system should only include the title, abstract, and keywords in the language the article is written in, and the title, abstract, and keywords in the second language (English if the article is in Turkish, Turkish if the article is in English).
Main Text and Headings
The main text of the article should begin with the "INTRODUCTION" heading after the keywords. Main headings in the text should be left-aligned, in capital letters, and bold. Second-level headings should be left-aligned, bold, and only the first letter of each word should be capitalized. Third-level headings should also be left-aligned and bold, but only the first letter of their first word should be capitalized. Headings should not be lettered or numbered.
Tables and Figures
Table and figure titles should be numbered above the tables and figures, written with a paragraph indent in Calibri 11pt. The words Table, Figure, Graph and their numbers should be bold. In table and figure names, the first letter of each word should be capitalized but not bolded. For example: Table 1: Table Title. The font inside tables should be Calibri and 8pt. The source, figure, and table should be written below, starting with a paragraph indent, in Calibri 10pt as in the bibliography, and the page number should be specified.
In-Text Citations and References
In-text citations in the journal should follow the APA (6th edition) citation method, in parentheses, with the author's last name and publication year. For example; (Saaty, 1999: 90). If the cited work has two authors, both authors' last names should be shown. For example; (Arslan & Yener, 2016: 22). If the cited work has three or more authors, the phrase "last name et al." should be used for the first author. For example; (Tekinalp et al., 2000: 98-99). If multiple sources are cited or mentioned on the same topic within the text, the authors' last names should be listed in alphabetical order, separated by semicolons. For example; (Ahmet, 2009; Can, 2001; Uysal, 2006). Different works by the same author in the same year should be indicated by "a, b, c, ..." placed after the publication year. For example; (Yılmaz, 2008a; 2008b).
Footnotes in the text should only be used for explanatory purposes at the bottom of the relevant page, without disrupting the integrity of the text, and should be in Calibri 10pt font.
Abbreviations used in in-text citations and the bibliography should be written according to the writing language of the article, regardless of the language of the referenced source. For example; "ve", "vd.", "Der./Ed." in Turkish articles, and "and", "et al.", "Ed./Eds." in English articles.

Appendices
If appendices are included in the article, each appendix should be on a separate page after the bibliography. The "APPENDICES" heading should be in capital letters, bold, left-aligned, and numbered. The first letter of each word in the appendix title should be capitalized. For example; APPENDIX 1: Appendix Title.
Bibliography
Cited sources should be listed alphabetically by last name on a separate page at the end of the article under the heading "References". Each source should begin with a paragraph indent. If there are works by the same author in the same year in the bibliography, they should be ordered by adding "a, b, c, ..." to the end of the publication year.
Citations in the bibliography section should also follow the APA style (6th edition). Examples of general rules to be followed are given below, and for citation formats not exemplified, please refer to http://www.apastyle.org/ or relevant resources.

For any other unexplained topics regarding article writing and citations, the general rules of scientific article writing should be followed. The author(s) are responsible for articles that do not comply with these rules and principles.

The publication process of the Istanbul Esenyurt University Faculty of Business and Management Sciences Journal of Social Sciences Research (ieJSSR) is based on the impartial production, development, and sharing of knowledge through scientific methods. It commits to preventing malpractices in publishing by adhering to academic principles and aligning with established academic and ethical standards. To ensure ethical standards, the international standards set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) are taken into consideration for submitted scholarly articles.
The upload of an article by the author(s) via DergiPark for publication in ieJSSR initiates the submission process.
ieJSSR reserves the right to make corrections to submitted manuscripts, to publish or not to publish them.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD
The ieJSSR Editorial Board (hereinafter, "the Editorial Board") and Editors/Assistant Editors are responsible for every article submitted to ieJSSR, and indeed for all processes after its publication.
The Editorial Board ensures the determination and implementation of journal policies such as publication, blind peer review, evaluation process, and ethical principles.
The Editorial Board's decision to send an article for peer review does not constitute a commitment to publish. Even if the peer review process concludes positively for publication, the decision of the Editorial Board and Editors/Assistant Editors is always required.
The Editorial Board promotes academic integrity. The Editorial Board guarantees the originality of written works by checking them through the iThenticate plagiarism prevention program before publication.
The Editorial Board always investigates allegations of plagiarism and misconduct related to published articles. For example, if an author plagiarizes from other works in their article, or uses copyrighted material of third parties without obtaining permission when required, or with insufficient notification, the Editorial Board reserves the right to take various actions, including retracting the article and notifying the head of the author's department, dean, and/or relevant academic institutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF EDITORS / ASSISTANT EDITORS
ieSBAD Editors/Assistant Editors are responsible for taking measures regarding intellectual property rights, unscientific/unethical conduct, and plagiarism during the article and journal publication process.
When making positive or negative decisions regarding articles, Editors/Assistant Editors consider the original value of the articles, their contribution to the field, the validity and reliability of the research method, clarity of expression, and the aims and scope of the journal.
Editors/Assistant Editors implement blind peer review and evaluation process policies, keep the identities of reviewers and authors confidential from each other during the evaluation process, and ensure that each article is evaluated impartially and within the specified timeframe. They undertake the correction of errors, inconsistencies, or misleading information in articles.
Editors/Assistant Editors ensure the protection of personal data within the scope of the journal's publication principles and ethical guidelines.
Editors/Assistant Editors pay attention to the protection of human and animal rights in articles, emphasize the documentation of explicit consent from participants in studies subject to the article, and reject articles when ethical committee approval is not obtained for experimental research or studies involving surveys.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF REVIEWERS
Reviewer opinions are prioritized by the Editorial Board in deciding whether to publish a submitted article.
Reviewers must evaluate the work fairly and impartially, adhering to the double-blind peer review procedure.
Reviewers must adhere to the principle of confidentiality and are obliged not to use information obtained from the review process for personal gain; they should not share their reports or information about the article with others.
Reviewer evaluations should be objective and constructive. The academic adequacy of the article should be the primary consideration. Criticisms directed at the authors' personalities are not considered appropriate. Reviewers must provide explanations and arguments supporting their evaluations in the reviewer evaluation reports provided by the journal editors. Editors/Assistant Editors do not consider biased and personalized evaluations, nor unjustified approvals and rejections, and appoint new reviewers for articles in such situations.
Reviewers should not agree to evaluate articles that could result in personal or institutional conflicts of interest.
Reviewers, if they detect any actual or potential case of plagiarism, multiple publication, or simultaneous submission, must inform the journal editors.
Reviewers must conduct their evaluation impartially and confidentially. In accordance with this principle, they must destroy the articles they have reviewed after the evaluation process. Nationality, gender, religious beliefs, political views, and commercial concerns should not impair the academic impartiality of the evaluation.
Reviewers must evaluate the article they have accepted to review within the specified timeframe. To improve the academic quality of the article, reviewers' correction suggestions are forwarded to the authors, and if reviewers request, the corrections made by the author are forwarded to the reviewer.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AUTHOR
Texts/works submitted to ieSBAD must be original and free of plagiarism. The responsibility for this rests entirely with the authors.
All forms of plagiarism, including improper transfers from an author's own publications, constitute a very serious ethical issue. The evaluation process for articles found to contain plagiarism is stopped. If plagiarism is detected after publication, Editors and Assistant Editors will take appropriate measures.
The author has the right to withdraw their article, provided they notify the journal's editorial board, until a decision on publication is made.
Authors should not use discriminatory language based on affiliations and identities such as gender, race, language, belief, culture, class, age, opinion, social group, and sexual orientation.
Works/articles must not violate the privacy and intellectual property rights of a third party.
Authors have an obligation to indicate all individuals who have contributed to their work. Individuals who have significantly contributed to their work should be listed as co-authors. A work cannot be published without the consent of all its authors.
The names of individuals who have not contributed to the article should not be listed as authors. It is not recommended to change author order, remove authors, or add authors for an article submitted for publication.
Authors must indicate if an earlier version of the work/text has been published in another medium. If the work, even if unpublished, has been compiled from a thesis or an unpublished scientific meeting presentation, this must be stated as a footnote on the first page.
Authors are responsible for acting in accordance with existing copyright laws.
If authors are asked for information or data regarding their articles during the evaluation process, they must submit the requested information to the journal editors.
Authors are responsible for implementing the correction suggestions of the reviewers and Editors/Assistant Editors. If the author disagrees with the suggestions of the reviewers or Editors/Assistant Editors, the author has the right to inform the journal editors of this situation, along with their justification.
Authors must submit to the journal editors the actions they have taken regarding reviewer evaluation suggestions, by entering them into the report sent by the journal editors.
All authors, in research articles, must disclose any financial and other types of conflicts of interest that could be perceived to influence the results or interpretation of that article. All sources of financial support received for the study must be clearly stated.
If an author discovers a serious error or inaccuracy in a published article, they must inform the journal editors without delay. In this case, the author is responsible for cooperating with the journal editors in retracting the article or publishing a correction to the article.
For research conducted and for clinical and experimental studies on humans and animals that require an ethical committee decision, separate ethical committee approval must have been obtained, and this approval must be stated and documented in the article.

REPORTING NON-COMPLIANCE WITH ETHICAL PRINCIPLES TO THE EDITOR
If you encounter any behavior that does not comply with the ethical principles related to ieJSSR's editors, reviewers, or authors, or a situation contrary to ethical principles regarding an article in the evaluation process, early view, or already published, please report it via email to iesbad@esenyurt.edu.tr.

Articles submitted to the Istanbul Esenyurt University Faculty of Business and Management Sciences Journal of Social Sciences Researches (ieJSSR) must be original, bringing a new dimension to their subject matter, and must not have been previously published in any other publication or submitted for simultaneous evaluation elsewhere.
Submitted works are published after positive evaluations from at least two reviewers and positive decisions from the editor and the Editorial Board. The journal is not obliged to provide explanations for rejected or unpublished articles. The responsibility for published articles lies with their authors. The views expressed in the articles cannot be attributed to the journal.
Submitted works, whether published or not, will not be returned.
Articles should be saved in "MS Word" format and sent to the Journal's e-mail address or uploaded by logging into the journal page on the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM DergiPark system.
Articles should be between a minimum of 5,000 and a maximum of 10,000 words, including English and Turkish abstracts, footnotes, references, and appendices. The bibliography is not included in the word count. However, longer or shorter articles may also be considered based on their scientific contribution.
The maximum plagiarism rate determined by the editorial board for our journal is 20%. The filtering options in the plagiarism detection program are set as follows: -Bibliography excluded -Quotes excluded -Exclude text parts with less than 5 words of overlap (Limit match size to 5 words) -Other filtering options in the program menu are not included in the report. -Reports must be ".pdf" versions exported from the Ithenticate program.
Along with the article, a COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT (downloadable from the "Submit article" page) must also be uploaded to the system.
Author information must be entered completely into the system. If there are multiple authors, all authors must be added using the "add author" option, paying attention to the author order, and the corresponding author must be specified.
When uploading the article to the DergiPark system, the following information must be written in the "Note to Editor" section (authors' notes to the editor, if any, can also be written in this field): Author's full name (surname in capital letters), title, address (university, faculty, department name must be included), e-mail address, ORCID number, paying attention to the author order; acknowledgment note if any; a note in Turkish and English explaining if the article has been previously presented as a paper, thesis, etc., or prepared with project/research support; conflict of interest and ethical declaration; authors' contributions (when there are multiple authors); article type (research article, review, case study, etc.); "field of science" and "code" suitable for the article's subject area from the "basic field" tables of the "UAK Associate Professorship Examination Application Requirements".
Since the article file uploaded to DergiPark for evaluation is the version shared with reviewers, author names should not be included in this file due to the blind peer review policy, and author information must also be deleted by entering the file properties.
There is no need to send articles additionally by mail.

Makale gönderim ve süreç işletim ücreti alınmamaktadır.
