Research Article

The Dokuz Eylül University Journal of Faculty of Business (IFEDE), which has been published since 2000, aims to contribute to the production of authentic and qualified knowledge in the fields of economics, business, international relations, political science and management.

Dokuz Eylül University Journal of the Faculty of Business publishes theoretical studies of scientific, methodological and different perspectives in the fields of business, economics, international relations, political science and tourism management. Besides these studies, book reviews, research notes and case studies are also included. The Journal of the Faculty of Business is published twice a year in December and June.

JOURNAL PUBLICATION GUIDELINES

Authors wishing to submit to the journal should first signup with DergiPark. The language of the submission screen can be adjusted to English (at the top right corner of the screen). If the submitting author does not speak Turkish, they can fill out the TR [Default] abstract as English. Foreign authors requiring help signing up or submitting articles should email melissa.cagle@deu.edu.tr for further assistance. (Please use the subject "IFEDE DergiPark Signup" when emailing).

Authors interested in submitting a paper should follow the manuscript guidelines provided below. Please reference the last issue published when preparing the manuscript.

Article Structure
Manuscripts submitted to the journal should have 1.15 line spacing, use Arial 11 font (on A4 paper) and have spacing in the following format: 4 cm from the top, 3 cm from the bottom, 3 cm right, 3 cm left. The submitted text should not exceed 25 pages including the cover page, figures, tables, main text, notes, appendix and summary sections. Studies that exceed the page limit will not be evaluated. Header and Footer should be 1,5 cm (Arial 9 font). 
Cover Page
The name, surname, institution, ORCID information, address, phone number and e-mail information of the author/authors should be provided on the cover page. Author/authors should not write expressions that may reveal the identity of the author anywhere in the main text, except for on the cover page.
Abstract
The cover page should be followed by the abstract. On this page, the title and summary of the study should be included both in Turkish and English (if the submitting author does not speak Turkish, they may only submit the abstract in English). The first abstract should be listed according to the language in which the study was written. The abstract should provide a clear summary of the purpose, scope, method, result, and findings of the study and should not exceed 150-250 words (abstract page should not exceed 1 page). Following the abstract, 5 keywords appropriate to the content of the study should be included in both languages. Jel codes covering the study subject should also be added. Please click for the link.
Main Text
The main text of the study should begin following the Abstract page. Starting from the abstract page, the page number should be placed in the lower right corner. Paragraph titles should have a 1 cm indent and there should be no space between paragraphs. All main titles should be written in capital letters in bold font. Secondary titles should be written in capital letters, upper left aligned and in bold. Third level titles should be written with a 1 cm indent, normal font and the first letter should be capitalized. The main titles should have 12 pt line-spacing before and after the text; for secondary titles space should be 12 pt before and 6 pt after. Finally, third level titles should have 6 pt space before and after the headings.
Tables and Figures
Table titles should be provided right above the table, while the figure titles should be provided under; both titles should be written in bold, with a table/figure number. Only the first letters of each word should be capitalized, left-justified (For example; Table 1: Sampling). All tables and figures should be in grey or black. The table/figure should be in line with the text and in accordance with page format. A range of 8-10 point font can be used within the table/figure.
If the author wishes to provide additional information under the table/figure an 8 point font (fitting with text format) with small letters using superscript (a, b, c, d.) should be used. Statistical significance levels should be indicated by using superscript (*) sign (* p <0.05, ** p <0.01 and *** p <0.001). In-text citation rules should be applied to table/figures, including the page numbers.
Tables, formulas or figures cannot be transformed into picture format and must be editable.
Citation and Bibliography
The in-text citation should be within the scope of APA-5. If necessary, footnotes may be provided by the authors in order to provide descriptive/additional information. 8 point font is the size for footnotes. Click here for the details of in-text citation and bibliography.
The journal reserves the right not to accept manuscripts for evaluation if submitted out of the scope of submission guidelines. 

Direct quotation should be presented in the following format. Max 3 lines, italic, Arial 10 font, 1 cm right/left indent.

Ithenticate Report and Copyright Transfer Form

Authors are required to submit an ithenticate report of their full manuscript. Moreover, submitting authors should fill out the copyright transfer form, as well. 

Legal/Special Permit Documents
The Ethics Committee Decision is supposed to be uploaded into the system for all kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants, questionnaires, interviews, focus group, observation, experimentation, and interview techniques. In addition, it is necessary to give reference to the decision of the Ethics Committee in the article (including the institution, time and decision number/issue). Finally, authors must obtain "informed consent form" for case studies, and the permission for the use of scales, questionnaires and photographs belonging to other scholars.

Dokuz Eylül University Journal of Faculty of Business is an Open Access journal. The journal is an Open Access journal and provides immediate open access to its contents. The Journal aims to promote the development of global Open Access to scientific information and research. The Journal does not charge any fees for article submission or article processing.

Engin Bağış Öztürk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the Dokuz Eylül University (Turkey) since 2021. He completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration at Dokuz Eylül University (Turkey). He also completed his post-doc in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland.
