Abstract

Bu çalışma, vekâlet kuramının bir örnek olay
çerçevesinde incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu maksatla, seçilen Ordu
Yardımlaşma Kurumu (OYAK) üyesi 260 katılımcıdan, geliştirilen ölçek
vasıtasıyla toplanan veriler analiz edilmiş, üyelerin; vekâlet yapısı, hizmet
kalitesi, şeffaflık ve hesap verebilirlik mekanizmaları konusundaki algıları
ölçülmüştür. OYAK yönetiminden 14 katılımcıyla mülakat yapılmış, yönetim
faaliyetleri gözlemlenmiş ve Kuruma yönelik doküman incelemesi yapılmıştır.
Yönetim mekanizmaları kuram bağlamında incelenmiş, güçlü ve zayıf yanları
tartışılmıştır. Kurumun şeffaflık ve hesap verebilirlik mekanizmalarıyla
vekâlet sorunlarına yönelik çözümleri görülmeye çalışılmıştır.

The Analysis of Accountability and Transparency of the Firms in the Context of Agency Theory: OYAK Case

Abstract

This study has been conducted to examine the
agency theory in an organization with case study. For this purpose, statistical
analysis conducted using the data collected with a developed questionnaire from
260 members of Turkish Armed Forces Assistance (and Pension) Fund and their
perception about agency structure, service quality, transparency, and
accountability. Interview with 14 agents, observation of management processes,
and document analysis has been conducted. The managerial structure, weak, and
strong sides of Fund has been discussed. The agency structure, transparency,
and accountability mechanisms of Fund tried to be observed.
