IJHAR ART GALLERY   September 2025 Artist of the Month: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Raif İPEK

        He graduated from the Painting Department of Ankara Anatolian Fine Arts High School and ranked first in his class upon completing the Graphics Department of Hacettepe University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in 2001. He earned both his master’s and doctoral degrees at the same institution. He has taught courses in the Graphic Design and Visual Communication departments at various state and foundation universities. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Graphic Design Department of Selçuk University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
        His artistic practice focuses on printmaking and contemporary art, and he has received numerous national and international awards in his field. His works have been featured in many national and international group exhibitions, and he has held seven solo exhibitions.
He is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), the Turkish Graphic Designers Association (GMK), and the Istanbul Ex-libris Association (İED). He is married to Assistant Professor Seçil Ermiş İpek and is the father of Duru Luna İpek.
