Aim & Scope

The International Journal of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language (IJOTFL) is an international, peer-reviewed, scientific journal that aims to contribute to the global scientific knowledge base in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language by publishing original and high-quality academic studies.

IJOTFL aims to create a reputable academic platform where research that supports the development of the field can be shared and to facilitate scientific interaction among researchers, teachers, and practitioners.

IJOTFL does not impose strict boundaries in terms of scope, but it particularly publishes articles on the following topics:

  • Teaching Turkish as a foreign language
  • Teaching Turkish as a second language
  • Teaching Turkish in different contexts and to different learner groups
  • Methods, approaches, and techniques in language teaching
  • Technology-assisted language teaching and digital learning environments
