Procedure in Allegations of Etic Violations

What are ethical violations in Scientific Studies?*
1) Plagiarism: copying, Alternate writing, Theft of scientific information/data and ideas, self-plagiarism
2) Fabrication
The fabrication refers to the use or presentation of non-existent data as if it were real".
3) Duplication
The duplication refers to the submission of the same scientific work to more than one journal, and the republishing of previously published research in different languages (without the permission of the editor).
4) Falsification
Falsification is the case of presenting an unused method as if it has been used, deviating from its purpose by adding/removing information, and playing on other people's information as if it is its work. B
5) Splitting/slicing
It occurs as a result of dividing any scientific research in such a way as to damage the integrity of its content, showing each part as work done at different times, or publishing each part in different sources on the same date.
6) Imaginary/Failed Authorship
It can be defined as "the situation where the names of people who have no work, contribution or effort for the scientific research are included together with the people who made that study/research".


IJPS undertakes the responsibility of informing the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK) or institutions related to the author about ethical complaints regarding serious violations of copyrights transferred to the Journal and alerting the authorities.

Procedure Followed in Ethical Violations
a. When it is thought that there is an ethical violation in the studies sent to IJPS or a complaint is received, the IJPS Ethics Committee is informed to investigate the issue.
b. The IJPS Ethics Committee consists of the Editor-in-Chief and two associate editors.
c. The committee decides by majority vote.
D. When the IJPS Ethics Committee decides that there has been an ethical violation, the author and the institution that committed the ethical violation are notified.
to. If the work with an ethical violation is published, a revision number is prepared and the study that is found to be an ethical violation is removed from the publication list.
f. The cost, if any, arising from the work withdrawn due to ethical violation and the number of corrections published, is requested from the author who violated the ethics.
g. An announcement is made on the journal's website about the work that was removed from the publication due to ethical violations.
h. The publication applications of the author who is found to have violated ethics are rejected for two years.
