The International Journal of Politics and Security (IJPS) aims to advance cutting-edge scholarship in the fields of International Politics and Security Studies by publishing original, theoretically grounded, and methodologically rigorous research. The journal provides a global and interdisciplinary platform for critical engagement with contemporary and conceptual debates shaping international politics, security practices, and the evolving global order.
IJPS welcomes contributions that explore security beyond its traditional military understanding, including but not limited to critical security studies, ontological security, political violence, war and peace, international institutions, global governance, strategic culture, technology and security, disasters and societal resilience, norms, identity, discourse, and power relations. The journal encourages pluralism in theoretical perspectives and is open to qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, as well as conceptual and normative analyses.
JPS is an open-access, fully online academic journal published biannually in May and October by the Association of International Politics and Security Studies (INTPOLSEC). The journal follows a no-fee policy for both submission and publication, ensuring unrestricted access to scholarly knowledge.
