The International Journal of Troy Art and Design (IJTAD) is committed to sharing scholarly articles that aim to make qualified and original contributions to the field of art and design. The journal’s mission is to disseminate such works rapidly and free of charge through electronic platforms, making them accessible to the global art and design community.

IJTAD covers a wide range of disciplines including painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, textile and fashion design, traditional arts, music, performing arts, photography, cinema, and animation. In addition, the journal features studies in art history, art philosophy, and art sociology, and encourages interdisciplinary research that engages with contemporary and current issues in art and design.

The journal accepts publications in both Turkish and English. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process conducted by academic referees who are experts in their respective fields. Manuscripts found suitable after the review process are accepted for publication.

The International Journal of Troy Art and Design (IJTAD) publishes inclusive research and review articles that are methodologically sound and aim to propose solutions or innovations in the fields of art and design. IJTAD accepts high-quality articles that contribute to the relevant theoretical or applied literature in accordance with its publication principles.

Manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Troy Art and Design (IJTAD) must not have been published previously or submitted for publication elsewhere simultaneously. All publication rights of manuscripts accepted for publication belong to IJTAD.

Submitted manuscripts should be written in a clear, concise, and comprehensible style. Authors are required to use the third-person singular throughout the text, and the latest Spelling Guide published by the Turkish Language Association (TDK) should be followed. The total length of the manuscript, including the bibliography, should not exceed 25 pages.

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the “Submit Manuscript” section on https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/ijtad. Submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the Editor and/or Assistant Editors, followed by an evaluation by the relevant Field Editors in accordance with the journal’s publication policy and guidelines. Manuscripts deemed unsuitable may be returned to the authors without peer review or may be sent back for necessary revisions.

Manuscripts found suitable for review are sent to at least two (2) academic referees who are experts in the relevant field. In the event of a disagreement between the reviewers, the manuscript is referred to a third reviewer. If more than two reviewers are assigned, the majority opinion will prevail. When necessary, manuscripts may be returned to the author(s) for revision based on the reviewers’ comments and suggestions.

Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the relevant reviewer(s) and the Editor. If the revisions are found satisfactory, the manuscript is accepted for publication in electronic format.

All in-text citations and references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition guidelines.
