Aim & Scope

im: Journal of communication & media studies aims to create an academic publication content and environment where the practice of showing the cultural context of communication, marking the structural position of the media and attributing meaning to social transformations is realised. It is published to present original research manuscripts, compilations, translations, book and work reviews, commentaries and interviews that will feed the communication and media literature, the scope of which is shaped by social transformation, to the relevant academic circles.

As independent, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access and online journal im accepts academic papers written in Turkish and English. The submitted manuscripts should not have been published before or should not be in the evaluation process for another journal or medium. The Editorial Board follows the criteria of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and carries out the evaluation process by taking into account the comments of the reviewers. The editor-in-chief makes the final decision for the applications.

The journal includes manuscripts prepared in the field of communication and media and observing the multidisciplinary focus of the field. More than one manuscript application from authors within the same periodic period is not accepted. Applications made outside the announced dates are not taken into consideration.
