Ethical Principles and Publication Policy


PUBLICATION PRINCIPLES
1. Istanbul Kent University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences publishes scientific and original studies in the field of humanities and social sciences.
2. The journal is a peer-reviewed journal with Continuous Publication Status.
3. The language of Istanbul Kent University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences is Turkish, English and German. The responsibility for both the scientific suitability and linguistic accuracy of the articles published in the journal belongs to the authors.
4. The editorial board of Istanbul Kent University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences is authorized to decide whether the articles will be accepted as a result of the evaluations of national and international referees.
5. Manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal must not have been published in another publication before or must not be in the evaluation stage for publication.
6. All responsibility of the articles belongs to the author(s), the opinions expressed in the articles are the author(s)' own opinions and do not bind the journal.
7. If the article is accepted for publication as a result of the referee evaluation, it is deemed to have been accepted by the authors that all publication rights of the article belong to Istanbul Kent University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences indefinitely. For this, the copyright agreement showing the approval of the author himself in single-author studies and each author in multi-author studies must be uploaded separately during the upload of the work to the article.
8. The copyright of the articles approved for publication belongs to the authors. No royalties are paid to the authors.
9. Since the studies submitted to the journal are evaluated with a blind refereeing system, they should not contain author information while in file format until publication. For this reason, the studies must be sent in 2 copies, one with one name and one without a name.
10. Manuscripts should be organized according to the APA reference system (APA 7.0) and should be between five and twelve thousand words, including abstracts, footnotes, and references.
11. The upper similarity rate has been determined as 20% by the editorial board of the journal. The filtering options in the similarity detection program are set as follows: -Bibliography excluded -Quotes excluded -Limit match size to 5 words -Other filtering options in the program menu are not included in the reporting.
