WRITING RULES
1. The dimensions of the page should be 17.5 cm wide and 25 cm high. The margins of the entire study should be 3.25 cm on the left, 2.75 cm on the right, 3.5 cm on the top and 2.5 cm on the bottom. 1.5 cm space should be left for the header and 2 cm space should be left for the footer.
2. Turkish and English abstracts and keywords for Turkish articles, English and Turkish abstracts and keywords for English articles, German and Turkish abstracts and key words for German articles should be written in the study. The abstract and keywords in total, should not exceed 150 words. The scope, purpose, method and results of the study should be mentioned in the abstract.
3. The font of the study should be “Times New Roman”. The text format for different sections should be as indicated below:
4. Paragraphs in the main text should be 12 pt and the alignment should be justified. There should be 6 pt space before and after the paragraphs and the line spacing should be single. Pages should not be assigned numbers. There should be 2 pt space between the items in the text.
5. Abstract, keywords and bibliography should be written in 10 pt, and 1 line spacing should be employed. The main text should be written in 1, 15 lines.
6. The main headings should be written in 12 pt bold with only the first letters left justified. Subheadings should be left justified with the first letter capitalized. There should be a12 pt space before the main headings and 6 pt space before the subheadings.
7. The results and findings of the study should be placed under the title of “Conclusion” and this section should not exceed one page.
8. Tables, Figures, Graphics and Illustrations: The headings of figures and tables should be written in 12 pt and only the first letter of each world should be capitalized. They should be centred and written above the tables. Each heading should be itemized and written in bold (Table 1:, Table 2: and Figure 1 :, Figure 2: etc.). References and bibliographic information should be duly written below the table in 10 pt.
9. The text inside the tables, figures, etc. should be between 8 to 11 points. The mathematical equations that will be included in the text, should be itemized, and their numbers should be justified to the right of the page in parentheses. In addition, no items other than the image should be placed in image format for correction in printing. In addition, tables and figures should be arranged, keeping in mind that the article will be printed in black and white.
10. Citations should be made according to the APA 6 method. Explanatory notes should be given as 10 pt footnotes at the bottom of the page. References should be cited in the text as the surname of the author (s), publication year of the source and page number. If there is no author name, institution name should be used instead of author. For example; (Vural, 2003: 5), (Köse and Kasım, 2001: 15), (Güneş et al., 2000: 10-12), (DPT, 2004: 32), (Walter et al., 1998: 25); or according to Smith (1998: 15), according to March and Olsen (1989: 26).
11. Multiple references within the same parentheses: Multiple references within the same parentheses should be in alphabetical order according to the surname of the first author and separated by semicolons. For example, (Akbulut and Doğan, 2013: 33; Şencan, 2003: 99; Tonta, 2010: 25).
12. Title and references should be 12 pt in the bibliography. Title should be bold and left aligned. The studies cited in the bibliography should be listed alphabetically according to the surname of the author. All the authors referred to as “et al.” in the references of the multi-authored works should be included in the bibliography section, and the space between the references should be 6 pt like the spaces between the paragraphs. When referring to multiple works by the same author, the publication date should start from the oldest. When referring to more than one work of the same author with the same publication date, in-text references and references should be numbered using the letters a, b, c…. For example; 2003a, 2003b, 2003c etc. If there are references to an author who has several studies, including multi-authored ones, firstly studies with a single author should be indicated.
13. Turkish abbreviations such as "et al.", "Inside", "Trans.", "Ed." should be used for the Turkish works in the references and in the text as shown in the examples below.
