The Journal of Comprehensive Educational Sciences adheres to scientific publication ethics at every stage and adopts the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The following principles are binding on editors, reviewers and authors.

• Double-blind review: manuscripts passing initial editorial screening are evaluated by at least two expert reviewers under a double-blind process.

• Similarity screening: all submissions are screened with plagiarism-detection software; the acceptable similarity ratio (excluding references) is at most 20%.

• Ethics approval: for studies involving human participants, ethics committee approval is mandatory and its board, date and number are stated.

• Open access and licence: articles are published open access under the CC BY 4.0 licence; authors retain copyright and grant the journal only the right of first publication.

• Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on scholarly merit, originality and fit, independent of authors’ identity; they safeguard confidentiality and impartiality and follow COPE flowcharts for alleged misconduct.

• Reviewers assess manuscripts objectively and constructively within the given time, preserve confidentiality, and withdraw in cases of conflict of interest.

• Authors guarantee originality, appropriate authorship, proper citation, and disclosure of conflicts of interest and funding; plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, salami-slicing and duplicate publication are not accepted.

• Use of generative AI: AI tools cannot be listed as authors; their use is declared in a separate AI Usage Declaration, and authors take full responsibility for AI-assisted content.

• Appeals and complaints: requests concerning decisions or ethics are reviewed by the editorial board in line with COPE principles.
