Science Process of Environmental Conservation: Cross National Study of Thai and Indonesian Pre-service Science Teachers

Year 2018, Volume: 6 Issue: 4, 72 - 80, 15.12.2018

Abstract

This study aimed to preliminary study science process of novice science teacher students on environmental conservation based on local
wisdom
. Participants were 95 novice
science teachers from Thailand and 71 from Indonesia. Data were collected through
scientific literacy questionnaire on Baduy’s society. Percentage, mean,
standard deviation, and non-parametric statistics were used. Findings showed
that
Thai teacher
students had mean score of science process higher than
Indonesian teacher
students at
0.05 level of statistics. Science process on environmental
conservation need to be implemented in teacher students due to it can make them
to meet real science.
