Article Writing Rules
During the submission of the articles to the journal, the authors should consider all the rules stated below . Applications that do not comply with these rules will not be evaluated by the referee .
1. The article should not be published or under evaluation in another journal for publication .
2. The article must have one of OpenOffice , Microsoft Word, RTF or WordPerfect file formats.
3. JITTE accepts original scientific studies, literature- based discussions and book reviews prepared in Turkish or English .

4. Page Setup and Writing Format
In A4 size, margins should be set as top (2.5cm), bottom (2.5cm), right (2.5cm), left (2.5cm). Single line spacing should be used in the text , words at the end of the line should not be divided by apostrophes. There should be 0.5 cm indent at the beginning of the paragraph and no space should be left between paragraphs.
5. Title and Subheadings
The title of the article should be prepared to reflect the entire content in the shortest possible way. The first letters of the title should be capital, 12 points, bold and left justified. Unless necessary, abbreviations should not be used in the title.
The first letters of the main headings of the section (Abstract, Introduction, etc.) should be capital, 10 points and bold. Headings should be numbered and subheadings should be numbered according to the main headings . In the body text, 6 nk space should be left after the headings, and no spaces should be left after paragraphs. Section titles should be left justified and without indent , and subtitles should be left aligned and indented 0.5 cm.
6. Summary and Extended Summary
Abstracts should not exceed 200 words. The abstract should be indented 1.5 cm and should be 9 points . For full texts written in Turkish, an extended English abstract between 500-750 words must be added. A short English summary is not required. There is no need for an extended Turkish abstract for texts written in English. The extended summary should include justification, purpose, main findings, conclusion, discussion and recommendations . The extended abstract should be placed after the Turkish body text and before the references . The title of the extended abstract should be in normal sentence style, 12 pt., Bold and left aligned. The extended summary text should be 10 pt . And justified. There should not be any space between paragraphs and paragraphs should be indented 0.5 cm. Both the short and extended abstract should be in Times New Roman format.
7.Headers and Footnotes
Headers should be added to the first page of the full text. In the header, the name of the journal should be on the left and the volume, number and page number should be on the right. Header text should be prepared in 9 font size and Times New Roman. 
8.Key Words
After the abstract in Turkish or English , keywords with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 words should be presented , which may reflect the content of the text .
9. Chapters
The full text should include the title, short summary, keywords, body text and correspondence details. In original scientific texts, the body text consists of an expanded summary, introduction, purpose, method, findings and discussion, conclusion and recommendations, and references. Authors can select and use appropriate titles and sections in line with the purpose and scope in studies such as literature review or translation .
10 Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should be used on the same page without being divided. Tables should be written in 10 point font. Table numbers (Table X.) should be given at the beginning of the table and only the first letter of the table name should be capitalized. Figure numbers (Figure X.) should be given below the figure and only the first letter of the figure name should be written in capital. The title of the table and the table should be left justified, and the title of the figure and figure should be centered on the page. For tables and figures cited from other studies , reference page numbers should be added to the end of the table / figure name .
11. Thanks
Acknowledgments should be given just before sources. If the full text is a summary of a thesis or if there are pennies supporting the study, it can be expressed in the acknowledgments section.
12. Attribution and Citation
In direct quotations, the surnames of the authors, the year of the publication and the page numbers should be included. In quotations belonging to an author or authors published in the same year , it should be shown as ( a, b ) to separate the sources from each other . In studies with more than two authors, instead of writing the surnames of all authors , "et al." The abbreviation is used and the year is added to the end of the abbreviation. The "&" symbol should not be used to refer to the body text.
APA 6.0 Style APA (American Psychological Association, 6th ed ., 2001) should be followed for references . References should be shown in alphabetical order, and in Turkish sources, "and" in foreign sources, "&" symbol should be used before the last author in case of multiple authors.
13 Annexes
If deemed necessary, attachments "Attachments. 1, Attachments . 2… ” should be given on a new page under the heading" Annexes " .
14. Following the Rules
Authors should make sure that their full text complies with all the stated guidelines . Texts that do not comply with these rules will not be evaluated.
15. Article Submission and Tracking
Articles, journal's web site the enroll after the system installed. Similarly, the evaluation process can be followed on the internet .
