Journal of Banking and Financial Research

The Journal of Banking and Financial Research (Bankacılık ve Finansal Araştırmalar Dergisi, BAFAD) is a peer-reviewed international academic journal published by Hacı Bayram Veli University. It is published twice a year (January and July) in Turkish and English. The journal, whose English name is Journal of Banking and Financial Research, is referred to as “JOBAF” in international literature.

The journal aims to publish high-quality, original research in the fields of economics, business, and insurance, primarily focusing on banking and finance. BAFAD aims not only to share information but also to contribute to current areas of discussion such as the functioning of financial systems, Digitalization and FinTech applications in financial services, capital markets, risk management, sustainable finance, and insurance economics.

Submissions to the journal are evaluated by at least two expert reviewers in the field using a double-blind peer review method, and the process is conducted transparently via an online platform. Review reports are expected to be completed within an average of one month, and submissions approved by two reviewers are published in order of receipt.

BAFAD has made it its mission to contribute to the production and sharing of financial knowledge at the national and international levels by encouraging high-quality research that can be used by the academic community as well as practitioners and policymakers.
