Evaluation Process
1. Preliminary Evaluation
Every article submitted to the journal is first evaluated by the editor-in-chief and/or associate editors.
At this stage, the article's formal adequacy, relevance to the journal's scope, and compliance with ethical principles are verified.
For studies requiring ethics committee approval, if the required documentation is not provided, the article will not be evaluated.
Unsuitable articles are returned to the author with a justification.
Preliminary evaluation reports are sent to the author(s) within a maximum of 15 days.

2. Peer Review (Double-Blind System)
Articles that pass the preliminary review are sent to two reviewers based on their subject area.
Reviewers and authors cannot see each other's identities (double-blind system).
Following the review, a decision is made:
• Acceptance
• Re-evaluation after revision (minor/major)
• Rejection.
Reviewers submit their review reports within a maximum of 30 days.
If one of the two reviewers accepts and the other rejects, the article is sent to a third reviewer.

3. Correction Process
The author(s) make corrections based on the reviewer reports and resubmit their files with a response letter to the reviewer comments.
The maximum correction period is 15 days. Additional time may be requested if necessary.
The revised article is redirected to the same reviewer(s) if necessary.

4. Editorial Decision and Publication Process
At the end of the peer-review process, the editor-in-chief makes the final decision on whether the article will be published.
Accepted articles are placed in the publication order according to the next issue.
The article undergoes proofreading and layout before being prepared for publication, subject to author approval.
5. Publication Policies
All articles in the journal are published open access.
There is no fee for article submission and publication.
The entire publication process is conducted in accordance with the principles of academic integrity and the international ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
COPE is an international organization established to develop ethical standards in academic publishing. It provides guidelines for editors, authors, and reviewers, as well as principles for ethical decision-making processes. COPE's guidelines help ensure that ethical issues such as plagiarism, data fabrication, author contributions, and conflicts of interest are managed fairly and transparently. The Journal of Design Disciplines adopts COPE principles in all its publication processes.
