The aim of our journal is to contribute to the sharing of studies conducted in informal settings in national and international literature. In this context, it is open to all researches, reviews and other kinds of studies conducted by all stakeholders in the field such as academicians, teachers, museum/science center educators. 

The scope of our journal includes qualitative, quantitative and mixed-type original research, reviews and case studies in informal settings. The cognitive, affective and kinesthetic contributions of informal environments in out-of-school learning, ranging from the schoolyard to science centers, museums and hospitals, are our priority areas. In addition, studies on the effects of informal environments on lifelong learning for the general public are also within the scope of our journal.

Prof. (habilitation, 1999) and Prof. (inauguration, 2006) in didactics of chemistry at Faculty of Natural Sciences of the M. Bel University in Banska Bystrica (SK).
His scientific and pedagogical activities are focused on didactics of chemistry and in wider sense on didactics of natural sciences and technical subjects (curricular approach, mind maps, learning from graphical presentation etc.) and ICT in chemistry and in general approach in science and technical education (computer supported class experiment, Internet in science and technical education, tutorial software etc.).
He is a member number of scientific councils of academic institutions, editorial boards of professional journals and has number of other activities focused on science and technical education.

Dr. Tuğba Yüksel, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Fizik Öğretmenliği bölümünden lisans ve MsED derecesi aldıktan sonra, 2017 yılında Purdue Üniversitesi'nde (ABD) müfredat ve fen eğitimi alanında doktora yaptı. Doktora çalışması, temel kuantum mekaniği kavramlarının model-temelli öğrenilmesi üzerineydi. 2012-2017 yılları arasında çeşitli projelerde araştırmacı olarak yer aldı ve yurt dışında fen ve fizik eğitimi projelerinde deneyim kazandı. Şu anda Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Üniversitesi Matematik ve Fen Bilimleri Eğitimi Bölümü'nde görev yapmaktadır. Dr. Yüksel, doktora sürecinde Fen Eğitiminde Jane ve Michael Wilson Doktora Ödülü ile Dekanlık Doktora Ödülü'ne layık görüldü. Araştırmaları, bireylerin bilimsel kavramları anlamak için meta-modeller oluşturma ve uygulama süreçlerine odaklanıyor. Aynı zamanda fiziksel, matematiksel ve AR tabanlı manipülatifleri içeren model-temelli öğrenme ortamlarının tasarımı, teknoloji entegrasyonu ve okul dışı öğrenme dinamikleri üzerine projeler yürütmektedir.
