Our journal aims to convey the research conducted in physical education and sports sciences to academicians, trainers, teachers, and students. Furthermore, the Sporda Teori ve Uygulama Dergisi (Journal of Theory and Practice in Sport) aims to deliver information in sports sciences to large masses by publishing studies of high standards in various fields of sports sciences. Therefore, in addition to the compilation, case studies, letters to the Editor, and book reviews, original research is published within the scope of the Journal of Theory and Practice in Sport.
The journal's scope consists of Physical Education and Sports Pedagogy, Exercise and Sports Psychology, Sports Management Sciences, Recreation, Movement and Training Sciences, Exercise and Sports Physiology, Sports Nutrition, Performance Analysis in Sports, Sports Philosophy, Sports Sociology, and Sports History.
Preparing your paper
The article should be written in MS Word (6.0 or the latest versions), A4 (21x29.7 cm.) paper size, Times New Roman (Font), and 12 points single-spaced, with 2.5 cm margins from all sides and fully aligned.
Layout
Your article should include the following titles: title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, method, findings, discussion, conclusion, recommendations, author contribution, conflicts of interest, acknowledgments (if necessary), references, and appendices (if required).
Word Limit
Your article should be at most 8000 words. References and abstracts are not included in this limit.
Title and Title Page
The title page should include the name, surname, institution, and e-mail addresses of the Author (s). In addition, authors should have their ORCID numbers in the footnotes. Academic titles should not be used. The text's title should be 16 pt, bold, centered, and written in lowercase letters, except for proper names and the first letter.
Abstract
The abstract part of the article should consist of 200 words and should summarize the entire study. Do not use citations in the abstract. Instead, as indicated in the sample template, it should be arranged in 9-point, single-spaced, justified. The keywords of the study should be 9 points, a minimum of 3, and a maximum of 5 words, as in the template. Semicolons should be placed between words and written in lowercase letters, excluding proper nouns.
Introduction
The theoretical foundations and literature review of the research should be clearly explained. The problem and the rationale should be presented in clear and understandable language. In this section, scientific studies should be cited, and the importance of research should be stated with current sources.
Method
The design/model of the research, participant/sample/study group, data collection tools/measurements, analysis, and data collection should be explained in this section. In addition, the methodological design of the research should be presented clearly and understandably, and the process should be detailed.
Results
The findings of the research should be given in this section. If any, tables, figures, and graphics should be explained by providing examples.
Discussion
This section should explain what the findings obtained from the analysis mean for the research problem and hypothesis. Please detail what gaps these findings filled in the current literature and what similarities and differences were identified.
Conclusion
In this section, which will be written independently of the discussion and findings section, what inferences can be made for the target audience should be reported. In addition, what conclusions the researchers reached due to the findings and discussion and what kind of contribution these results will make should be explained in detail.

Kadir Yıldız did his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management at Cumhuriyet University. He completed master’s degree at Erciyes University and PhD in Sport Management at Abant Izzet Baysal University. Currently, he is an Assoc. Prof. at Manisa Celal Bayar University, and has studies on outdoor and adventure education, mountaineering, orienteering, outdoor sports, statistical modelling, communication in sports, fitness industry, service quality.
Dr. Bojan Masanovic serves as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education at the University of Montenegro. In addition to his academic role, he currently holds the position of Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the same institution. He is a recognized member of the consortium for several scientific research projects (both national and ERASMUS+ Sport) focused on innovative approaches to advancing the field. Through the EAPA-BCH project, he co-founded an innovative nutrition and exercise program for the elderly. He also contributed to the EUFITMOS project, developing an innovative battery of tests used across Europe, and led the SWOST project, establishing a methodology for improving gender equality. Additionally, he is one of the creators of the groundbreaking theory on the Autophagy Threshold and Autophagy Zones, and he and his team are currently working on determining when individuals enter the autophagy zone. Dr. Masanovic is active in the media, where he uses open letters to draw attention to important everyday issues and to propose solutions to decision-makers. He has highlighted concerns such as the prevalence of underweight children in Montenegro and advocated for a monitoring system to address and improve this situation. During the COVID-19 crisis, he emphasized the importance of physical activity for enhancing the immune system. Over the past five years, Dr. Masanovic has published more than 50 articles in Web of Science-indexed journals. In recognition of his significant contributions to scientific research, artistic, and professional work, the University of Montenegro awarded him a plaque in 2019 and 2024. He also received the Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Education and Sports Sciences in Albania from the Albanian Association of Sports Sciences (ASSA). Most recently, in 2024, he was honored with the “FIEPS Thulin Award” for Distinguished Service in International Physical Education.
