Higher education institutions have the responsibility to provide education services, conduct research, find solutions to social problems and train qualified individuals in line with the rapid changes and developments in every field. In order for education in higher education to be qualified, curriculums should be developed in accordance with scientific principles and evaluated on the basis of a model. In this study, it is aimed to develop comprehensible and concrete design examples according to the process steps of Eisner's Educational Connoisseurship and Alkin's University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Models that can be used in the process of evaluating curriculums in higher education. The research has the characteristics of review and design-based research methods. It is suggested that these designs should be used in program evaluation studies in order to increase the quality and sustainability of educational services provided in higher education institutions.

Yükseköğretim kurumlarının her alanda yaşanan hızlı değişim ve gelişmelerle uyumlu şekilde eğitim hizmeti sunma, araştırma yapma, toplumsal problemlere çözüm bulma, nitelikli bireyler yetiştirme sorumluluğu bulunmaktadır. Yükseköğretimde eğitimin nitelikli olmasında eğitim programlarının, bilimsel ilkelere uygun biçimde geliştirilmesi ve bir model temele alınarak değerlendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada yükseköğretimde eğitim programlarını değerlendirme sürecinde kullanılabilecek Eisner’ın Eğitsel Uzmanlık ve Alkin’in University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) modellerinin işlem basamaklarına göre anlaşılır ve somut tasarım örneklerinin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma derleme ve tasarım tabanlı araştırma yöntemlerinin özelliklerini taşımaktadır. Yükseköğretim kurumlarında sunulan eğitim hizmetlerinin niteliğinin artırılması ve sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması için program değerlendirme çalışmalarında ortaya konulan bu tasarımlardan yararlanılması önerilmiştir.
