Aim & Scope

The Black Sea Journal of Sciences, the peer-reviewed scientific journal of Giresun University, aims to publish original and high-quality scientific studies in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, and technology. Our journal aims to contribute to the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge and to enhance its visibility at both the national and international levels. In this regard, our primary priority is the publication of research that strictly adheres to academic ethical principles and clearly demonstrates originality and a scientific contribution to the literature. Submitted works must be original research articles that fill a gap in their respective fields.

The journal’s primary objective is to introduce theoretical and applied research conducted in the fields of natural sciences and engineering to the scientific community, to encourage interdisciplinary studies, and to contribute value to the global scientific literature. Additionally, creating a reliable and transparent platform where young researchers and experts in their fields can publish their work to international standards is among the journal’s priorities. The Black Sea Journal of Science is published online four times a year in March, June, September, and December.

The Black Sea Journal of Science accepts original scientific studies in the fields of science, technology, and engineering that have not been previously published anywhere and are not currently under review by another journal. The journal publishes original research articles.

The journal’s scope encompasses a broad range of topics, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, environmental sciences, and related basic science fields, as well as engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical and electronic, industrial, mining, geological, surveying, software, and similar fields. In addition to theoretical, experimental, and applied studies, the journal evaluates research in modeling, simulation, optimization, materials science, energy systems, sustainable technologies, and interdisciplinary research.

Submissions to our journal are expected to be consistent in terms of scientific methodology, provide an original contribution to the literature, and present the findings in a clear and systematic manner. Studies with limited scientific depth, those based solely on survey data, or those lacking methodological or theoretical contributions are considered outside the scope of the journal.
