This study covers the developments which have taken place in the vıest European Media System after the 1980's and their reflections on the Turkish Media System.
How technological changes and neo-liberal policies made their impact on the media system and how in turn the Turkish Media System has been affected by this process is questioned by a
definitive method. Consequently the study is mainly focused on the question whether the Turkish Media System is to be considered as a part of the West European Media System or not, and if, to which extent.
As a condusion it's found out that technological and political changes which occured generally, are directly affecting the media system and is forming a rather uniform media landscape and further it is found that the Turkish Media System is showing general similarities with this and thus, ıt shou/d be çonsidered as a par,t of the West European Media System.
