Our Open Access and Plagiarism Policy

Our Open Access Policy
Kilitbahir journal provides open access to its published works with the idea that knowledge is a common product of humanity, and that the solution to the problems faced by humanity with its theoretical and practical dimensions is possible with knowledge production, sharing and correct application. In line with this idea, our Journal allows its readers to "read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts" of the published works, in accordance with the "open access" definition of BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative).

Our Plagiarism Policy
Kilitbahir journal performs a similarity scan for all studies for which publication applications have been submitted, before proceeding to the peer-review process. In order to initiate the peer-review process, the upper limit of the similarity rate of an article is expected to be 20%. In case the similarity rate of the submitted work is higher than 20%: the article can be sent to the authors for re-editing by the editor or the article in question can be rejected by the editor.

The plagiarism/similarity rate determined by the Editorial Board is 24%. Manuscripts exceeding this rate are rejected without being included in the referee process.

During plagiarism control, the relevant field editor uses the programs produced for plagiarism/similarity control and presents the results to the editor as a report. The service/program used for plagiarism/similarity control is the program called iThenticate, which we use within Çanakkale 18 Mart University.
