Kilitbahir journal allows self-archiving of accepted and published articles through its open access policy. Authors may archive prepress and postpress or publisher's version/PDF in personal or institutional repositories or libraries without obtaining permission from the journal or publisher.

Authors of articles published in Kilitbahir journal have the right to store their accepted or published articles in institutional and/or centrally organized repositories and may make it public immediately after acceptance and publication, provided that the journal name is cited as the original place of publication and quoted correctly.

Upon acceptance of the article by the journal, the authors, while making their article public, acknowledge that the article has been accepted for publication as follows: this article has been accepted for publication in Kilitbahir journal.

Authors can put their articles in different archives, libraries or personal websites and make them publicly available, provided that they specify the URL of the article immediately after publication.
