Şemalar Durumu Kötüleştiriyor mu? Evli Bireylerde Algılanan Fedakârlık Zararlılığı ve Erken Dönem Uyumsuz Şemalar

Öz

Bu çalışma, evli bireylerde algılanan fedakârlık zararının erken dönem uyumsuz şemalar tarafından ne ölçüde yordandığını incelemektedir. Ayrıca, algılanan fedakârlık zararının cinsiyete göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği araştırılmıştır. Araştırma, Türkiye’de ikamet eden ve yasal olarak evli olan 407 bireyden (291 kadın, 116 erkek) oluşan bir örneklem üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan ilişkisel tarama deseni kullanılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Veri toplama araçları olarak Demografik Bilgi Formu, Algılanan Fedakârlık Zararı Ölçeği ve Young Şema Ölçeği-Kısa Form 3 kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde bağımsız örneklemler için t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve stepwise regresyon analizleri uygulanmıştır. Bulgular, algılanan fedakârlık zararı ile erken dönem uyumsuz şemalar arasında anlamlı ve pozitif yönde ilişkiler olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Özellikle duygusal yoksunluk, kusurluluk/utanç, kendini feda etme ve terk edilme/kararsızlık şemalarının, algılanan fedakârlık zararını anlamlı düzeyde yordadığı görülmüştür. Bu şemalar arasında en güçlü yordayıcı olarak duygusal yoksunluk öne çıkmıştır. Ayrıca, cinsiyet açısından anlamlı bir fark bulunmuş; erkeklerin kadınlara kıyasla daha düşük düzeyde algılanan fedakârlık zararı bildirdikleri saptanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular, şema kuramı ve önceki araştırmalar çerçevesinde tartışılmış ve gelecekteki çalışmalar için çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur.

Are the Schemas Worsening the Situation? Perceived Sacrifice Harmfulness and Early Maladaptive Schemas Among Married Individuals

Öz

This study investigated the predictive role of early maladaptive schemas in the perceived sacrifice harmfulness among married individuals. It also explored whether perceived sacrifice harmfulness differs by gender. The sample consisted of 407 legally married individuals residing in Türkiye (291 women, 116 men). Utilizing a correlational survey design as part of the quantitative research methodology, data were collected through the Demographic Information Form, the Perceived Sacrifice Harmfulness Scale, and the Young Schema Questionnaire-Short Form 3. Analyses included independent samples t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and stepwise regression. Findings demonstrated significant positive correlations between perceived sacrifice harmfulness and early maladaptive schemas. Specifically, the schemas of emotional deprivation, defectiveness/shame, self-sacrifice, and abandonment/instability significantly predicted higher levels of perceived sacrifice harmfulness, with emotional deprivation emerging as the strongest predictor. Additionally, a significant gender difference was observed, wherein men reported lower levels of perceived sacrifice harmfulness compared to women. The findings are discussed in light of schema theory and prior empirical research, and directions for future studies are outlined.
