ORGANISATIONAL CHANGE: THE KEY TO TRANSFORMATION AND EVALUATION OF ITS MANAGEMENT FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF EMPLOYEES

Abstract

In recent years, change has emerged as a global concern for all organisations due to technological, economic, and international advancements that compel organisations to adapt. Organisational change is regarded as an unavoidable fact in contemporary business and is frequently essential for a company to maintain competitiveness and achieve growth. Given that change influences elements such as collaboration, performance, and productivity in the workplace, it is essential for employees to acclimatise to these alterations. This study aims to ascertain if employees' adaptation to organisational change varies based on demographic parameters. Data were collected from 377 public sector personnel using a questionnaire method. Confirmatory factor analysis, independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA were employed in the data interpretation. The results indicate that organisational change does not exhibit a significant variance based on employees' gender and working hours; nonetheless, a significant variation was identified concerning marital status, environmental awareness, and education level. It was concluded that unmarried personnel adjust to organisational change more readily than their married counterparts, that adaptability to organisational change diminishes with advancing age, and that adaptability increases with higher educational attainment. Furthermore, the study aims to manage organisational change and assess its impact on employees.
