Journal of Vocational Science is a free and open scientific journal.

Journal of Vocational Science (JVS) has changed its language to English and Turkish since 2017 Volume 6, Issue 1. Full text articles in English can be published in our journal with Turkish summary. Our journal started its publication life with the special issue of November 2011 and will continue to be published with 2 issues per year. Our journal in the field of occupational science publications missing open in Turkey, aims at closing with an appropriate understanding of the quality and scientific publishing norms.


The works to be published in our journal will be original studies, they will be published in the form of scientific or technological articles, screening articles, reviews or technical notes. All submitted studies are evaluated with the "blind review" system. The Journal of Vocational Sciences is scanned in ASOS INDEX databases. Articles published in our journal can be viewed in our archive section. In addition, with a free and easy membership process, the latest issue articles can be downloaded as pdf files. Editors and members of the editorial board, who work in our journal, consist of people who have many years of experience in professional education and vast scientific competence in their fields.

PAGE LAYOUT AND WRITING RULES Considering that the scientific studies prepared are submitted to the referee or referee panel for evaluation, it is easy for the referees to work while evaluating the relevant study; it depends on researchers working within a defined text area. Considering that the publications prepared within this framework are part of a whole, it is inevitable that the publications comply with the following features determined by the editorial board. The entire work will be written in "Calibri" font, single line spacing and justified. In addition, after the study is finalized, it should be saved as two separate files with the extension ".doc" and ".pdf". At the beginning of the scientific article, the name (s) of the author will be written in 11 pt and bold. If there is more than one name of the author / authors, the first names should be given clearly, the second names' initials and surnames respectively (example: Ahmet C. Demira, Evrim G. Öztürkb,…). The title of the study should be centered in capital and bold letters, 11 pt. should be given as. The English title of the article to be given before the abstract should be centered in capital and bold letters, in 11 pt. The following layout will be used throughout the work. The main title will be given in capital letters, only the first characters of the words in a subtitle will be given in capital letters, in the next subtitles, the main character of only the first word of the title will be given in capital letters and bold, in 11 pt. Example: ABSTRACT ……… ABSTRACT ……… INTRODUCTION ……… METHOD / MATERIAL AND METHOD must be sent in simple order. (Justification, paragraph and line spacing etc.) (Format work will be done by the editorial office). On the first page of the study, the explanation of the "a, b, c,…" section referenced in the name of the author should be given separately for each author in the form of "title, institution, e-mail" at the bottom of the first page. The size of the top, bottom, left and right margins of the text field on a page should be as follows. Upper space: 2.5 cm, lower space: 2.5 cm. left margin: 2.5 cm, right margin: 2.5 cm Submitted work should be arranged by adding the page number, including the first page with abstract and abstract, and references. RULES FOR SENDING The following features of the traditional "Anglo-Saxon System" will be used in submitting. For situations where the whole or a part of the study is affected or the general structure of that study is criticized, evaluated, discussed etc. i) ................... The type of submission in the article according to the number of authors who made the study; First author's last name and date for an author; (Gündüç, 2010), Two authors' surnames and date for two authors; (Keyvan and Ovalı, 2009), for three or more authors, with the surname of the first author "et al. (Et al.)" And date; (Kaya et al., 2008). GIVING THE SOURCE INCLUDED IN THE SUBMISSION i) For periodicals; it will be in the form of "author name, publication date, article title, journal name, volume (issue): page number" and will be arranged in accordance with the example given below. Example: Kayış, B., Özok, A.F., (1991), Anthropometric Survey Among Turkish Primary School Children, Applied Ergonomics, 22 (1): 55-56. ii) For books; respectively "author name, publication date, book title, publisher, publishing city / country, number of the page / pages quoted" Note: If a part of the book is quoted, these pages are given page range as in the example of "p: 35-47", and If an inference is made, the total number of pages of the book should be given as "ss: 371". Example: Özdamar, K., (2002), Statistical Data Analysis with Package Programs, Kaan Kitabevi, Eskişehir, pp: 686. iii) For Internet resources, the date of access should be given with all address extensions. Example: http://pottery.about.com/od/firingthekiln/ss/raku_firing.htm, E.Tar: 05.03.2012 iv) For the thesis; respectively "author name, date, thesis title, Master's Thesis / Doctorate thesis, University, Affiliated unit. Example: Ersoy, S., (2008), Some Anthropometric Body Measurements and Kitchen Design for Individuals 65 and Over in Erzincan Province, Master's Thesis, Ankara University, Institute of Social Sciences SCHEDULE, FIGURE and FORMULA WRITING RULES I) Table name is given to the following example Appropriately, 11 font size, the table content should be arranged in 9 point Calibri font style starting from the upper left corner of the table. No line showing any row or column will be used in the tables except the line lines that limit the beginning and the end and the line lines separating the label and the data in the table. The horizontal width of the charts should not exceed 7cm for those that can be fitted in a single line, and the larger ones should not exceed 16cm, and their length should be adjusted so that they do not exceed one page. Also, the charts should be centered. If the chart is quoted, it should be given at the back of the title in accordance with the citation rules given above. Example: Table 1. Figure names should be written on the first line just below the figure, starting from the lower left corner of the figure, in 11 pt Calibri font style. The horizontal width of the figures should not exceed 7cm for those that can be fitted in a single line, and the larger ones should not exceed 16cm and their length should be adjusted so that they do not exceed one page. If the figure is given by quotation, it should be given at the back of the title in accordance with the citation rules given above. Example: Figure 1.
