Within the scope of the principle that it will increase the global sharing of knowledge, Mesned Journal of Theological Studies provides open access for those who want to benefit from scientific studies to instantly access all the publication content free of charge. In this context, Budapest is a party to the Open Access Movement (BOAI). According to BOAI, Open Access is “peer-reviewed scientific literature, via the Internet; can be freely accessed, read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, scanned, linked to full texts, indexed, transferred as data to software and used for any legal purpose without financial, legal and technical barriers.

Archiving and Data Distribution

The editor provides secure archiving of published material. Mesned Journal of Theological Studies sends the published articles to electronic archives on an open access basis without any action by the author(s) and makes them open to full access. The author or funder may upload a copy of the author's accepted article to their archive site. The Masned Journal of Theological Studies author license permits reuse with reference to the source of the article (with a full citation) for non-commercial use only. Our policy of obtaining permission for commercial use applies.

Mesned Journal of Theological Studies undertakes to keep all its articles open access under the CC-BY-NC Creative Commons license and to store the full text content on archive platforms and https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/mesned journal website.

Articles published in the Journal of Theological Studies in Mesned are digitally archived in LOCKSS and CLOCKSS. In addition, the published articles can be accessed by the author in the institutional archive of the university (DSpace, AVESİS etc.), subject archives or any other archive without the embargo period. Thus, anyone can access this publication immediately, free of charge.
Mesned Journal of Theological Studies (ISSN: 2667-7075 e-ISSN: 2687-3605) is pleased to announce its archive policy in line with its policy of supporting the dissemination of research results: 

  • The Journal of Theological Studies allows authors to use the final published version of an article (publisher pdf) for self-archiving (author's personal website) and/or archiving in an institutional repository after publication.
  • Authors may self-archive their articles in public and/or commercial subject-based archives. There is no embargo period, but the published source should be cited and a link should be set to the journal homepage or DOI of the articles.
  • Authors can download the output of the article as a PDF document. Authors can send copies of the article to their colleagues without any embargo.
  • Mesned Journal of Theological Studies allows all versions of articles (sent version, accepted version, published version) to be stored in an institutional or other archive of the author's choice without embargo.
  • Mesned Journal of Theological Studies uses the LOCKSS system to allow permanent archives to be created. Based on the Stanford University Libraries, the LOCKSS Program provides award-winning, low-cost, open-source digital preservation tools to provide libraries and publishers with access to permanent and authoritative digital content. The LOCKSS Program is a library-led digital preservation system built on the principle of "securing large numbers of copies". The LOCKSS Program develops and supports libraries using open source end-to-end digital preservation software.
