THE EVALUATION OF PRIMARY EDUCATION TURKISH LANGUAGE TEXTBOOKS ACCORDING TO TEACHER OPINIONS

Abstract

The purpose of this research is determine the class teachers’ opinions on the sufficiency and suitability of Turkish textbooks, which are prepared in the frame of Turkish primary education program performed since 2005, with the program. For the research, description method is applied. In order to prepare the items of the questionnaire, interviews are conducted with teachers about the subtitles; “Gains”, “Teaching Stations”, “Reading Texts”, “Writing Practices”, “Grammar Topics”, “Measurement and Evaluation” and”, “Visual Reading”. The items of questionnaire are prepared from data obtained from the conducted interviews, Turkish lessons primary education schedule guide, the researches done about Turkish textbooks and resources of different theoretical. The answers of the questionnaire made of 50 items are arranged as “completely agree”, “Agree”, “Undecided”, “Not agree”, “Never agree”. For scope validity expert opinions are made use of, and the reliability coefficient (cronbach-alpha) is found 96 at the study of reliability. It is tried to be determined via statistical techniques, that whether the opinions of the class teachers about the appropriateness and sufficiency of Turkish textbooks with the program, vary according to different coefficients or not. With analyzes, it is determined that the class teachers are “undecided” about the sufficiency of the Turkish textbooks and their appropriateness with the education program.

İLKÖĞRETİM TÜRKÇE DERS KİTAPLARININ ÖĞRETMEN GÖRÜŞLERİ DOĞRULTUSUNDA DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, 2005’te uygulamaya konulan Türkçe ilköğretimprogramı çerçevesinde hazırlanan Türkçe ders kitaplarının programa uygunluğu ve yeterliliğine ilişkin, sınıf öğretmenlerinin kanaatlerini belirlemektir.Araştırma için betimleme yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Anket maddelerininhazırlanması amacıyla “Kazanımlar”, “Öğretim Durumları”, “OkumaParçaları”, “Yazı Çalışmaları”, “Dil Bilgisi Konuları”, “Ölçme ve Değerlendirme”, “Görsel Okuma” alt başlıkları hakkında öğretmenlerle görüşmeleryapılmıştır. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler; Türkçe dersi ilköğretim program kılavuzu, Türkçe ders kitaplarına ilişkin yapılmış araştırmalar ve değişikkuramsal kaynaklardan yararlanılarak 5’li Likert formunda ankete dönüştürülmüştür. 50 maddeden oluşan anketin yanıtları; “hiç katılmıyorum”, “katılmıyorum”, “kararsızım”, “katılıyorum”, “tamamen katılıyorum” biçimindedüzenlenmiştir. Kapsam geçerliği için uzman görüşlerinden yararlanılmış,güvenirlik çalışmasında güvenirlik katsayısı (cronbach-alpha) .96 bulunmuştur.Sınıf öğretmenlerinin Türkçe ders kitaplarının programa uygunluğu ve yeterliliğine ilişkin görüşlerinin çeşitli değişkenlere göre değişip değişmediği istatistiksel teknikler kullanılarak belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Analizler sonucundasınıf öğretmenlerinin, Türkçe ders kitaplarının yeterliliği ve öğretim programıyla uygunluğu konusunda “kararsızım” düzeyinde kaldıkları saptanmıştır
