THE SOURCE OF INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES IN ART
EDUCATION: DOMINANT LEARNING STYLES
Abstract
In this study, the importance of individual differences in art education,
dominant learning styles of art teacher candidates and the change depends on
some variables of these styles is investigated. The sample of the research that is
in the survey model is composed 161 art teacher candidates. The dominant learning
styles is determined by using Kolb learning style model. Findings are
analysed by using test of chi-square and figurative statictics methods. In result
of this research is found that dominant learning styles are changed by art teacher
candidates. According to sexuality and education type, the learning styles
show meaningful differences. In this study is suggested that giving in service
education seminars relation to learning styles, determined learning styles of students
and according to these,the education is realized and selection of teaching
methods and materials that are used in lesson .

Abstract
Bu çalışmada, sanat eğitiminde bireysel farklılıkların önemi, Resim-İşöğretmeni adaylarının baskın öğrenme stilleri ve bu stillerin bazı değişkenlerebağlı değişimi araştırılmıştır. Tarama modelinde olan araştırmanın örneklemini161 Resim-İş öğretmeni adayı oluşturmaktadır. Baskın öğrenme stilleri, KolbÖğrenme Stili modeli kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ki-kare testive betimsel istatistik yöntemleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanınsonucunda Resim-İş öğretmeni adaylarının baskın öğrenme stillerinin değiştiren olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğrenme stilleri cinsiyet ve öğretim türüne göreanlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Çalışmada; öğrenme stilleri ile ilgili hizmet içieğitim seminerlerinin verilmesi, öğrencilerin öğrenme stillerinin belirlenip buöğrenme stillerine göre bir öğretim yapılması ve bu öğrenme stillerine göre dersiçerisinde kullanılacak öğretim yöntem-tekniklerinin ve materyallerinin seçilmesi şeklinde bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur
