AI Usage Policy

The Journal of Muallim Rıfat Faculty of Education recognizes the opportunities presented by emerging technologies in scientific research. In this context, it is anticipated that generative artificial intelligence tools can offer researchers practical support during preparatory phases such as literature review, data synthesis, language proofreading, and ensuring textual fluency.

Nevertheless, the critical thinking, in-depth analysis, and original human reasoning that form the foundation of scientific production cannot be substituted by any technological tool. These systems must serve solely as supplementary elements under the absolute supervision of the researcher.

For all manuscripts submitted to our journal, the authors hold the sole scientific, ethical, and legal responsibility for the entirety of the content. Accordingly, the fundamental standards expected from our authors are as follows:

  • Content and Source Verification: Since data, facts, and citations generated by artificial intelligence may be misleading or fabricated, researchers are obligated to verify all outputs through independent and reliable academic sources.
  • Originality and Human Contribution: Any draft text generated with assistive tools must undergo a comprehensive rewriting and editing process to reflect the author's own academic style, theoretical deductions, and analytical perspective.
  • Principle of Transparency: If these systems have been utilized at any stage of the research process, the name of the tool and its intended use must be clearly and comprehensively declared in the methodology or acknowledgments section of the manuscript.
  • Intellectual Property and Confidentiality: Authors must guarantee that the systems utilized do not infringe upon the copyrights, data privacy, and ethical boundaries of third parties or institutions.

Authorship Status and Review Process Restrictions As artificial intelligence software cannot bear ethical and legal obligations, they cannot be designated as an "author" or "co-author" in any study. Furthermore, to maximize the protection of original ideas and unpublished data submitted to our journal, our editors and reviewers participating in the double-blind peer-review processes are strictly prohibited from using generative artificial intelligence tools during the evaluation phase.
