1. About the Journal
MSGSÜ Akademi Dergisi is a national peer-reviewed journal published twice a year, in May and November, by the Graduate Education Institute of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. The journal accepts manuscripts in both Turkish and English and provides open access to all its content.
2. Aims and Scope
The journal publishes original scholarly work in the fields of Social, Humanities and Administrative Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Fine Arts, and Architecture, Planning and Design. Research articles, review and systematic review studies, meta-analysis and meta-synthesis studies, and theoretical articles are all considered for publication.
3. Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts are accepted exclusively through the DergiPark system. Authors must register on the system prior to submission. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not have been previously published, accepted for publication, or be under review at another journal.

4. Manuscript Preparation
All manuscripts must be prepared using the current article template provided by the journal. Manuscripts not prepared in accordance with the template will be returned to the authors without being sent for review.

5. Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to the journal are first reviewed by the editor for compliance with the journal's publication policies. Papers that pass this initial screening are assessed by the associate editor against technical criteria, including template conformity, APA 7 citation style, and word limit. Manuscripts that meet the technical requirements are forwarded to the field editor for a preliminary evaluation of scope, content, methodology, and overall quality. During the preliminary evaluation stage, the similarity rate of manuscripts is checked using the iThenticate software. Manuscripts with a similarity rate exceeding 20% are rejected outright. Manuscripts that clear this stage are sent to two independent referees under a double-blind peer review process. Referees are given four weeks to complete their evaluations. A reminder is sent if this period is exceeded.
Manuscripts requiring revision are returned to the author with the reviewers' comments. Author(s) must upload the revised manuscript along with a response document explaining the changes made.
Accepted manuscripts are processed by the language editor and layout editor. Once typesetting and design are complete, the manuscript is sent to the author for a final review and is prepared for publication upon the author's approval.

6. Ethical Principles
MSGSÜ Akademi Dergisi adheres to the principles of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and the ethical criteria of TR Dizin. For detailed information on ethical principles, please refer to the Ethical Principles and Publication Policy page.
Authors must pay attention to the following when submitting a manuscript:
- For studies requiring ethics committee approval, the relevant approval must have been obtained and stated in the manuscript.
- Any conflict of interest must be disclosed.
- In multi-authored works, all authors must have consented to the submission.
- The use of generative artificial intelligence must be declared in the Author Declaration Form.
7. Copyright and Open Access
The copyright of all works published in the journal remains with the authors. Manuscripts are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). For detailed information on the open access policy, please refer to the Open Access Policy page.
