Bilim Müzelerinde Paradigma Değişimleri

Abstract

Bilim müzeleri, nadire kabinelerindeki koleksiyonlardan ayrıldığından beri çeşitli dönüşümler geçirmiştir. Makalede, yeni nesil bilim müzeleriyle birlikte, dört dönemde incelenen bu dönüşümler paradigmalar temelinde ele alınmış; her bir dönem, uygulama ve değer sistemlerindeki örüntülerle birlikte sunulmuştur. Bilim müzelerindeki bu dönüşümlerde tartışılan noktaların özgün koleksiyonların varlığı, müzenin hizmet ettiği gruplar, temel müzeolojik etkinlikler, bilim müzelerindeki içeriklerin disiplinler ile ilişkisi ve anlatım dili olduğu görülmektedir. Türkiye’deki bilim müzeleri ile ilgili tartışmaları genişleteceği düşünülen bu çalışmada, üç öneride bulunulmuştur: (1) Bilim merkezleri, bilim müzeleri kapsamında değerlendirilmelidir; (2) Türkiye’deki bilim müzeleri sözü edilen tartışma bileşenleri temelinde değerlendirilebilir; (3) Bilim müzelerinin etkinliklerini rapor, kitap gibi çeşitli yayınlarla paylaşması müzeler arası iş birliğini güçlendirebilir.
