Examination Of General Belonging Levels of University Students in Terms of Various Variables

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the general belonging levels of university students and to examine the relationships between the subscales of general belonging and various variables. The study was created according to the screening model approach. The research group consists of 506 university students, 418 female and 88 male, with an average age of 20.04. In collecting the data; “General Belonging Scale” and “Personal Information Form” were used. In analyzing and interpreting the data; independent groups t test and ANOVA test were used. According to the findings; the students' acceptance and rejection mean scores do not differ according to gender, education level, age and father's education level. However, it was revealed that they differed significantly according to perceived parental attitude and mother's education level. In addition, while the acceptance mean scores differ according to the mother-father living together, the rejection mean scores do not differ. The findings obtained were discussed based on the literature.

Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Genel Aidiyet Düzeylerinin Çeşitli Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin genel aidiyet düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ve genel aidiyetin alt ölçekleri ile çeşitli değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesidir. Araştırma tarama modeli yaklaşımına göre oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma grubunu; yaş ortalaması 20.04 olan, 418 kadın ve 88 erkek olmak üzere 506 üniversite öğrencisi oluşmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında; “Genel Aidiyet Ölçeği” ve “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi ve yorumlanmasında; bağımsız gruplar t testi ve ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; öğrencilerin kabul edilme ve reddedilme puan ortalamaları cinsiyete, eğitim düzeyine, yaşa ve baba eğitim düzeyine göre farklılaşmamaktadır. Ancak algılanan anne-baba tutumuna ve annenin eğitim düzeyine göre anlamlı olarak farklılaştığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca kabul edilme puan ortalamaları, anne-babanın beraber yaşama durumuna göre farklılaşırken, reddedilme puan ortalamaları farklılaşmamaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, literatüre dayalı olarak tartışılmıştır.
