A Rare İncidental Case: Pigmented Neuroendocrine Tumor of Appendix

Abstract

Neuroendocrin
tumors are one of the most common tumors of the appendix. It is difficult to
differantiate acute appendicitis from appendiceal neuroendocrine tumors.
80%  of these tumors are located in tip
of the appendix and 95% are measured smaller than 2 cm in diameter.
Pigmentation is rare in neuroendocrine carcinomas. Here we report a case of
pigmented neuroendocrine tumor which was detected incidentally.

Insidental Saptanan Nadir bir Olgu: Apendikste Pigmente Nöroendokrin Tümör

Abstract

Nöroendokrin
tümörler apendiksin sık görülen tümörleridir. Klinik olarak apendiksin nöroendokrin
tümörlerinin akut apendisitten ayırımı mümkün değildir. Tümörlerin %80’i tip
yerleşimli ve %95’i 2cm’den küçük çaptadır. Nöroendokrin tümörlerde
pigmentasyon oldukça nadirdir. Burada akut appendisit nedenli apendektomi
yapılan hastada insidental olarak tanı alan pigmente nöroendokrin tümör olgusu
literatür bilgileri eşliğinde sunulmuştur.
