Abstract

Probiyotikler, uygun miktarda verildiğinde alıcının sağlığına yarar sağlayan canlı mikoorganizmalardır. Günümüzde sayıları giderek artan bilimsel araştırmalarda, probiyotiklerin bazı hastalıkların önlenmesinde, tedavisinde kullanılabileceğine işaret etmektedir. Bu derlemede, kanıta dayalı tıbbi uygulamalar ışığında, çocuklarda probiyotik kullanımı değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract

Probiotics
are living microorganisms which, when consumed in adequate amounts, confer a
health effect on the host. Increasing number of scientific research states that
probiotics may be used in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. In
this review, probiotic use in children was evaluated in the light of evidence
based medical practices.
