Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Vatandaşlarının Mültecilere Yönelik Tutumlarının Belirlenmesi: Bir Ölçek Geliştirme Çalışması

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti vatandaşlarının mültecilere yönelik tutumlarını ölçmeye yönelik geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Geliştirilen ölçek, bireylerin mültecilerle ilgili algılarını, duygusal tepkilerini ve davranış eğilimlerini çok boyutlu olarak değerlendirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Araştırma evrenini 18 yaş ve üzeri Türkiye Cumhuriyeti vatandaşları oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, tesadüfi olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolayda örnekleme tercih edilmiş ve 272 katılımcıya çevrimiçi anket yoluyla ulaşılmıştır. Ölçek geliştirme süreci, kapsamlı bir literatür taraması ve uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda yürütülmüş; elde edilen veriler SPSS ve AMOS programlarıyla analiz edilmiştir. Açıklayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda, ölçeğin üç faktörden (aynı ortamı paylaşmama eğilimi, mültecilerin artışına yönelik endişe ve olumlu tutum) oluştuğu belirlenmiştir. Bu yapı, doğrulayıcı faktör analiziyle test edilmiş ve doğrulanmıştır. Ayrıca, Cronbach alfa katsayıları ölçeğin iç tutarlılığının yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda, geliştirilen ölçeğin vatandaşların mültecilere yönelik tutumlarını ölçmede güvenilir ve geçerli bir araç olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ölçeğin farklı örneklemler üzerinde test edilmesi, kültürel ve sosyal değişkenlerin etkilerinin değerlendirilmesi önerilmektedir.

Determination of Republic of Turkey Citizens’ Attitudes Towards Immigrants: A Scale Development Study

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to develop a valid and reliable scale to measure the attitudes of citizens of the Republic of Turkey towards refugees. The developed scale aims to evaluate individuals' perceptions, emotional reactions, and behavioral tendencies regarding refugees in a multidimensional manner. The research population consists of citizens of the Republic of Turkey aged 18 and over. In the study, convenience sampling, a non-probability sampling method, was preferred, and 272 participants were reached through an online survey. The scale development process was carried out in accordance with a comprehensive literature review and expert opinions; the obtained data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS programs. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, it was determined that the scale consists of three factors (tendency not to share the same environment, concern about the increase in refugees, and positive attitude). This structure has been tested and verified through confirmatory factor analysis. Additionally, the Cronbach's alpha coefficients indicate that the scale has high internal consistency. Based on the obtained findings, it has been concluded that the developed scale is a reliable and valid tool for measuring citizens' attitudes towards refugees. It is recommended that the scale be tested on different samples to evaluate the effects of cultural and social variables.
