Fütüvvetin Liderlikteki Yankısı: Ahilik Geleneği ile Çağdaş Liderlik Yaklaşımları

Abstract

Fütüvvet, bireyleri erdemli davranışlara yönlendiren ve kötü huylardan sakınmayı öğütleyen ahlaki bir anlayıştır. Bu anlayışın kurumsal bir yansıması olarak ortaya çıkan Ahilik Teşkilatı ise, fütüvvet ilkelerini mesleki yaşama uygulayan bir yapıdır. Bu çalışmada, fütüvvet geleneği çerçevesinde şekillenen Ahilik sistemi temel alınarak, fütüvvet anlayışında öne çıkan ahlaki erdemler ile çağdaş liderlik yaklaşımları arasındaki ilişki incelenmektedir. Öncelikle Ahilikteki fütüvvet ilkeleri analiz edilerek erdemli bireyde bulunması gereken temel nitelikler tespit edilmiştir. Ardından bu değerler, insan odaklı ve değer temelli çağdaş liderlik yaklaşımlarıyla karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda fütüvvetnamelerde vurgulanan alçakgönüllülük, adalet, doğruluk, cömertlik, iç gözlem, şefkat ve hizmet odaklılık gibi erdemlerin, etik liderlik, hizmetkâr liderlik ve ruhani liderlik gibi çağdaş liderlik yaklaşımlarıyla anlam düzeyinde güçlü benzerlikler taşıdığı anlaşılmaktadır. İlgili literatürün kavramsal bir incelemesine dayanan bu çalışma, fütüvvetnameleri yalnızca tarihsel belgeler olarak değil, aynı zamanda çağdaş liderlik yaklaşımlarını besleyebilecek zengin bir değerler sistemi olarak ele almaktadır. Aynı zamanda çalışma, geçmişin kültürel mirası ile günümüz liderlik ihtiyaçları arasında köprü kurarak, yerli ve tarihsel değerlerin liderlik pratiğine nasıl entegre edilebileceğine dair bir perspektif sunmaktadır.

The Echo of Futuwwa in Leadership: Ahi Tradition and Contemporary Leadership Approaches

Abstract

Futuwwa is a moral understanding that guides individuals to virtuous behaviour and advises them to avoid bad habits. The Ahi Organisation, which emerged as an institutional reflection of this understanding, is a structure that applies the codes of futuwwa to professional life. In this study, the relationship between the moral virtues that stand out in the futuwwa understanding and contemporary leadership theories is examined, based on the Ahilik system that was shaped within the framework of the futuwwa tradition. Firstly, fundamental attributes that should be embodied by a person of virtue were identified by analysing the codes of futuwwa in Ahi Tradition. Then, these values were evaluated comparatively with human-centred and value-based contemporary leadership approaches. As a result of the research, it has been understood that the virtues emphasized in the futuwwa scriptures, such as humility, justice, truthfulness, generosity, introspection, compassion and service orientation, have strong similarities at the semantic level with contemporary leadership approaches such as ethical leadership, servant leadership and spiritual leadership. Based on a conceptual review of relevant literature, this study examines the futuwwa scriptures not only as historical documents but also as a rich value system that can feed contemporary leadership approaches. At the same time, the study provides a perspective on how indigenous and historical values can be integrated into leadership practice by bridging the cultural heritage of the past with today's leadership needs.
